After my interview for RT America on Craig Gross' XXXChurch and his "Super Porn Sunday" I felt that I needed to speak about and validate some major issue concerning this group. I don't consider myself a 'specialist' in either Religion or porn but, I do have quite a bit of life experience (and a little formal schooling) on these issues.
So, the XXXChurch.... Craig Gross is having what he calls, "Super Porn Sunday" February 6th, this Super Bowl Sunday. He will be broadcasting to over 350 churches nationwide. He explains the 'dangers of porn'. He even has NFL players promoting a software called X3 Watch. X3 Watch is a porn filtering software that also send a message via text, email etc. to your spouse, your 'accountability sponsor', and/or friends when anyone from your home computer looks at a porn or 'questionable' website. His main message is that porn is fueling a new "porn generation" because of job loss, divorce and sexual dysfunction and that it must be stop, basically. (

I have quite a few questions for you Craig Gross. My main question, are you out of your mind? For starters, you're having this thing on Super Bowl Sunday. The most masochistic days of the year. What full blooded American male wants to hear about how porn is bad on this day of all days...if any days?? Why must ones Religion consistently test believer's faith to such an extreme? Do you get to skip in line to heaven or something? Actions like this will make people loath their Religion, not celebrate it. No matter how 'cute' or whatever 3rd string professional athletes you have to promote it.
Also, how can a Religious group have so much hate for one billion dollar industry but not another? How many pornstar fans quit their jobs, buy a motor home, and just follow them from gig to gig? No one that I know of because they would be put in jail or hospitalized. But, it happens all the time with sports fanatics. But yet you have NFL players sponsoring your software. No one puts that much faith into porn unless they're making it.
I digress, porn isn't the cause or fueling job loss, divorce or sexual dysfunction. Our government is the cause of job loss. People not realizing the severity of a commitment like marriage; over controlling, insecure, jealous, inexpressive spouses are the reasons people get divorced. A traumatic childhood, being sexually abuse or just being one out of whatever mentally sexually deviant people, are the cause of sexual dysfunction. I don't see how porn has anything to do with job loss. If performers don't plan for their 'outside' future, that's their own fault, not the industry's as a whole. And, If anything it creates jobs, good or bad a job is a job to some and they don't think any which way about it. If you're upset with your spouse watching porn, I hate to say this but, it's both of your faults. It is both your jobs to keep your sex life healthy if you choose to commit to one partner. Blaming anything but yourselves is cowardly.
Mind you Craig Gross doesn't really say all that much about 'why' he's doing it as much as he's promoting the software X3 Watch and what it does. Is he a true Religious extremist? Driven to brainwash people to stop masturbating because God doesn't like it? Or is he just the lucky winner of getting a ton of money for promoting this software? Either way, he looks like an idiot.
If parents don't want their children snooping around on the internet about sex then they should teach them. Having a completely open and honest conversation with your children about sex can prevent them from doing what you most fear. Sex is everywhere, sex sells. Trying to block your children from the obvious will only make them more curious and even lash out. And ladies, a little advice; the average man masturbates 1-5 times a day for a reason. That has nothing to do with his love for you, he does it because he's a man. Be glad he's just watching porn, let him watch porn. It's much easier to lie and say he had to stay late at work (aka getting their dick sucked by a $50 hooker), then it is to sneak around in their own house to watch a 20 minute porn clip. Do you really want to drive your spouse to do that? Are you really that insecure?
Overall, porn isn't the real issue here. Porn just got caught in another crossfire to help sell something else. Unless this Craig Gross is like Charles Manson just on the other side of extreme, he's just a fraud using people's faith in God to make a quick a buck.
Heres is the link to my actually interview too! I need to be naked for these types of things, I was so nervous. LOL
