Ok I am missing something. What does "DFWKnight" mean?
^ He is an amateur IR porn producer. And I dont mean amateur in a pejorative way. Amateur porn is fine once in a while. And Ill change the number of years from 5 to maybe 2 years down the line. I just want to see her in some high production value scenes first.

I don't care what she does and when she does it, as long as she's satisfied with what she's doing and who she's working with. But let's face it -- studios aren't flooding her with offers and I doubt it's because she's not well-known. And I would hope you're not knocking amateur producers; some of them are really popular and make more money that the so-called pros.
Oh I think she is very well known. Her problem is 1) age, it's pretty obvious now and b) she is rather vanilla. Despite the stupid bondage stuff, Akira doesn't like to be abused they way girls are roughed up these days. Look at what was done to Tory Lane or Sasha Grey and imagine her doing that. Not gonna happen. So there is little room for a 40-something actress who won't let herself be choked, slapped and spat on. Her best option is self-produce and her self-produced stuff is crap and overpriced. She charges the same for a one-scene movie as most studios charge for a film with 5-6 scenes.
There is a lot problem,specially with the marketing,pretty sure she need new innovation with the sales,you right about self-produce,if she still about 19's or mid 20's maybe this things will work,she make mostly her contents exclusive,right

Does anybody know how long she has been listed as a talent on the agency's website? Ive never really heard of this agency before and never have been on its website.
I think she still looks great for her age - particularly the past two years since she has been getting to the gym quite a bit. There was a time three years ago - its the Penthouse lesbian video (with that red haired porn star) that she filmed - where she was starting to look her age. But since then she has really kept her body pretty tight. I dont consider that Keiran Brazzers scene to be vanilla at all. Its certainly not extreme hardcore - but I remember being surprised at how relatively hardcore it was considering all those tame scenes she did with Alec for her company. While I dont mind seeing choking, spitting and slapping once in a while, I dont really have to see that and I certainly dont have to see it the vast majority of the time. That actually doesnt happen a lot in any of the porn scenes I watch. Yeah, it happens a little bit here and there, but no where near enough for her to be blacklisted if she doesnt want to have any of that done to her. Your post makes me question how many mainstream porn scenes you watch.
darthtexan, I have to agree with you here on a few points...
Akira does look great for her age. It shows that she's not 28 anymore, but she got a pretty late start into the game. Also, her "non-Alec Knight" scenes are fairly standard hardcore stuff. I don't like the abusive "slapping/choking/spitting" stuff anyway, so I don't seek that out. I know there is a niche of folks that like that, but I wouldn't consider it mainstream. I consider stuff from Wicked, Brazzers, Naughty America, etc....to be mainstream porn, and she fits right in there.
I'm probably an anomaly, but I think Akira was at her best in her softcore "near hardcore" stuff. It was a little bit of a letdown when she went full hardcore, although I did want to see that. I guess the anticipation made the end result not as great.
