KATHMANDU (Reuters) - Officials at Nepal's state-run airline have sacrificed two goats to appease Akash Bhairab, the Hindu sky god, following technical problems with one of its Boeing 757 aircraft, the carrier said Tuesday.

Well, I assume they would have been slaughtered eventually anyway.

So as long as they were eaten, why should any non-vegetarian be upset?

People flip out about sacrificing goats or hunting or cruelty to animals. And many of those same people gladly eat meat like crazy - as long as someone else does the killing.

In my opinion, there is a word for that: hypocrisy.
