Air France may bar obese passengers from flights

Air France has revealed it may prevent obese economy passengers from boarding its planes for "safety reasons".

It said that, under new rules, if a flight was full an overweight person who did not fit into a single seat might have to take another plane.

well, not that many americans fly with air france anyway.

blacks are born black. obese people are obese because they refuse to stop eating. it's their own fault. like an alcoholic who won't stop drinking. they have the right to kick drunks off the plane. and in this case the safety of the other passengers is at stake as well, what if fattie won't fit through the emergency doors or blocks an aisle?

So why can't you smoke on a plane or other public places. These people are addicts, should they be discriminated against because of their addiction? The legit number of people who actually have a disorder that causes them to be fat is small.

There's a reason why we've seen such a boom in obesity in the last decade or two and it doesn't have anything to do with genetics or disorders just plain old laziness and folks looking for an excuse to make their behavior acceptable in their own minds.

As long as I could sleep, I could deal with the sweaty man boobs - sounds kinda kinky actually. :lovecoupl And unless I want to use my points and upgrade to 1st class, I'm forced to fly business/cattle car class. So at 6'3"+, I haven't felt my legs after a 4 hour flight since they made the spaces smaller. People worry too much about blood clots and such. I ain't died yet! :wave:

I like children (from a distance and not mine) just fine. But they're best seen and not heard.

Despite the excuses made by enablers, being fat is a choice. Regardless of any disorder, weight cannot be gained without intake. If you aren't eating, you aren't gaining. Ever see pictures of fat concentration camp victims? No, because they weren't being fed. So, fact is, being fat is a choice, and if Air France doesn't want to cater to people's poor choices, then cheers to them.
