squallumz

knows petras secret: she farted.
besides ome decent points above, there's an easy one: apparently, you're supposed to be against porn. everyone is, so the standard is set.

obviously, im for it. we share it with everyone and its amazing how so many people finally admit they think its hot too.

yea Last night I saw a documentary on Larry Flynt "the right to be left alone" and I cant believe all the things he has had to endure his whole life just for freedom of speech.

Yeah it's amazing how it says in the Constitution we have the right to free speech, but there's people trying to take that away. Hmmm, something's not right there, but I could be wrong :dunno:

Max Hardcore is actually a little wierd. His site basically advocates being as nasty and degrading as possible but he himself is a really nice guy and off the set he's this big cuddly teddy bear. He is very nice to his girls and -perhaps b/c the shoots are so hard on them- treats them much better than regular straight porn sites treat their girls.

This adds to the impression I already had, which is that, the raunchier and more extreme something is, the better people hired to do it are treated. Someone who is trying to do something that is highly socially acceptable doesn't need to be nice to the people they hire, and in some cases artists can be really pompous and treat their models like objects to be manipulated for the sake of art. But if you're trying to do something that is way out of the bounds of social acceptability, you have to be nice to people or you'll create problems for yourself. The more the material appears to objectifying women, the more the women who actually do it are treated like people rather than objects.

JustAGirl, before she was JustAGirl (hopefully, Isobel knows who I'm talking about), mentioned something like this in her old blog. She said that, among the different kinds of modeling work she had done, the more something felt like sex work, the less objectified she felt (or something like that, forgive my inaccurate memory).

I really think that the majority who criticize porn aren't getting any action and wanna ruin other peoples fun. Of they wanna be a hero a condemn anything that society calls immoral and wrong. FUCK THEM! LONG LIVE PORN!

Some people are against porn because of their twisted sense of morality. Which comes from their belief in a make believe supernatural being who, apparently, doesn't like it when people fuck.

We all believe in something. ;)

But, really most of these "religious" people have no room to talk. How many of them follow their own book?

How many "Christian" virgins do you know?

Porn didn't come into existence by the efforts of stand up and morally sound people. It's always had a link to organized crime and I don't imagine those who run the studios are the most scrupulous people. I'll never give a porn studio a single dime.

Trying to paint it into a better light is pretty pointless. I mean it's an industry intended to give guys jerk-off material and show sex as a rather meaningless act for those who just want to get their rocks off.

The issue with porn I see is whether or not adult material should be widely available or if it should be controlled and sort of hidden away so that it goes back to being the stigma it was in the 70's and 80's.

I could really care less what people do in their own homes to find sexual pleasure (as long as it's legal and everyone has agreed upon it), but I don't think that the porn industry should be smoothed over as if it's some wonderful cultural beacon. I don't relish the fact that porn has influenced more mainstream content, whether it's TV or what have you.

It's also a way to make money. ;)

Forcing your believes on someone isn't right.
Porn is already regulated enough.

We all have the right to do as we want as long as we aren't hurting someone else. So, people can just choose not to watch.

Without reading through the entire tread, *sorry, I think that it's important that we identify our priorities in life and not just go off and self indulge ourselves into the things that we want to do, that doesn't build character, moderation does. I believe that it's important that "society", be it, the educational establishment, social activities, the media, televised programming etc. make a good impression upon their pupils and / or audience . Life isn't all fun, games . . . and sex ! There's plenty of business to attend to if we wish to survive.

Today, among this generation, we witness a western society that is abundant with divorce, broken families and children born to a single parent. This in and of itself sets the stage for things to worsen for the next succeeding generation. Before long, the "family" for all practical matters will be ancient history. The norm will become that we humans will just screw each other like bunnies, or sheep as it were, and we'll likely become subjugated by dictators ! It's happened before ! Look at what "ultimate" decadence did to Rome ? (†lead pipes ?)

I'm more or less a laissez faire kind of guy - First do no harm, but do as you please. . . but behave yourself. Thx for reading :D

A .357 magnum in the hands of a God fearing American is better than porn, don't ya know!:fight:

why do people in the media and people in everyday life put the porn business down? I started watching porn when I was about 12 and I remember when my friends would come over I would talk about porn and they would just ignore me. anyway they ended up telling everyboday at school the next day (even the girls) and I remember I got made fun of bad. The point is all my life I havent seen anything bad about the porn business. And therefore I love it. The real question is why do alot people hate it so much? I just dont fucking get it?

What world are you living in? How many of these young celebrities launched or gained a spot on reality shows by accidentally leaking a "sex tape" no different than an amateur porn tape. The media these days love stories like
Paris Hilton sex tape, Kim Kardashian, that girl from baywatch, Britney's twat showing, Pamela Anderson, even the notorious R. Kelly.

Ok, If that's the case why don't we see pornstars getting treated like that? When was the last time you turned on the tube and you saw a pornstar being interviewed or you saw pornstars on t.v shows? The point I am trying to make is that Porn isn't mainstream. And I can't understand why it's not? Another question is what makes religious people that are hypocrites have the right to mock or put down the industry we all love, Kinda like what they do to Gay's. I am just God damn tired of seeing people like Bill O'riley along with all his other right wing nut jobs who are against the Porn biz but they wank off to it in their closets everynight. It's all Bullshit!

They shouldn't be treated special. They had sex on tape and it "leaked".
Then people feel sorry for them. I don't know why.
People are hypocrites.

People are hypocrites. Like O'Reily, who probably has a porn collection in his home and on his computer.
Porn stars are just like movies stars. They just don't get paid as much and most porn stars make better movies.

The real question is why do alot people hate it so much? I just dont fucking get it?

They don't hate it. They just love to "take a stand" against something and feel important, like they're fighting for some sort of cause. I'm willing to bet that most people who publicly state that they think porn is "degrading", "offensive", "disgusting" and "immoral" probably have a huge stack of whack-off magazines hidden under their bed.

Many of the greatest societies know to mankind, when infused with, in toto sexual liberation had collapsed in all of their decadence.

There's no reason for me to believe that we're immune from the horrendous results of the past. Progressivism defies the lessons of history.

Jason - Don't you like a little sense of mystery in things ?

I do. :D

As I said, porn has been around longer then all of today's current religions in many forms which is one thing they can't stand. In particular cause they think everything in their holy books is true and that porn has been discovered in anicent cultures in some form which are older then the times their holy books were written.
Of course not all religious porn are against porn as I said before but also there are non-religious people that are against porn too, the only difference is that religious anti-porn groups use the "immoral" crap while the non-religious anti-porn groups use the old "degrading towards women" line.
Now that porn is now getting a bigger and bigger female audience in the world and that there are companies that make porn for women the anti-porn groups are trying so hard to expose the dark side of porn more and use that to try to ban porn.
They never seem to realise that all the problems in porn are also in other forms of media industries too, I mean you get actors or singers or models or tv presenters that are abused or become drug addicts or depressed and so on which of course they fail to mention.
In terms of sex, we humans are animals anyway at the end of the day especially when it comes to sex. Sure some people don't have sex but guess what some animals don't have sex either. There have been research done and that there are even some animals that have casual sex (one example that I read in a nature magazine is that dolphins have casual sex even out of the dolphins breeding season) so that's no longer something that humans have over other animals.

I'm not a particularly religious person and I sure as hell don't wish for my daughter to be hose-in 'round, bringing home different guys all of the time !
I'd prefer for her to actually maintain a steady relationship, a relationship with a guy that I could learn to trust . . . make my life easier . . less stressful. ;)

Maybe it's actual parents that prefer limitations on the exposure of sex within society. . . . ya think (?)

Like Facetious said, it's one of those things that everyone related with but they don't want to get involved with. Kind of how numerous people say they want to help drug addicts or really sick people, but they would never in hell be the ones who push the wheelchair or help the smelly druggie on the subway to the hospital.
I can honestly say that I wouldn't want my parents, children or girlfriend to be in porn. Looking at something from distance and being directly related to it are two completely different things to most people, including myself.

But nah, I'm not really embarassed about general porn things and I don't think the people I talk to are either. I remember in high school even the girls would join when we talked about porn stuff, and it was mostly good laughing. Might be different in different places though. Americans seems to be a bit uncomfortable around sexual matters than europeans in general, but that's just my perception :D
