After Porn Ends

After Porn Ends: can they really live a normal life after porn?

:1orglaugh

I think someone needs to define "normal". Like, an average life where they're out of the spotlight?

Here's the thing; anyone who agrees to be part of a documentary isn't looking to lead a normal life. Normal lives don't get documentaries, nor a "reality" TV series. Anyone who signs onto something like "After Porn Ends" is looking to be a spectacle. They are actively seeking a spotlight. So, no, they aren't going to live a normal life, nor do they want one. No one being followed around by a camera crew is going to live a normal life. That's not normal.

I saw it, amongst many other adult documentaries. I think they're all really interesting. One in particular, it was a foreign documentary about whores from different countries and what their daily lives are like, and usually I hate watching foreign films because I hate having to read subtitles, but I would highly recommend it. It's on Netflix, called Whores Glory.

You would never like watching movies with me. I almost always will watch movies with subtitles if they are available, even ones in English. :D

I was very disappointed with it, those types of documentaries are depressing. I don't want to ruffle feathers but I hate listening to former porn stars boo-hoo about being in the business and how horrible it was. I'm sorry but you should have never did porn if you didn't like it, if you realized it was a mistake then move on, don't fucking cry about it, you made that choice.

Terrible for those who discriminate against pornstars or "ex" pornstars. I think all should look into that as an experience. Who hadn't had any nastiness if you consider it nastiness, in their lives? it's all close-mindedness to think of porn people as spawns of the devil. Is there any perfectness in life?

And who really was forced to get into porn? can we name names? if so this has to be an issue for the public..if sure porn business was related to crime syndicates for example, then again it should be a news making story. If it is affecting people's lives negatively and still is doing that...for all who is in it, watchers or actors, then yes it should be a discussion material. That's my opinion.

This. Very much this.

I've done some shit in my life that I know a lot of people would look down on. Most people have. The only difference is that most people's stuff is less public. :dunno:

Some people need to relax.

WOW BCT!:hybrid:

Doesn't really bother me when porn stars come to realize working in the porn industry just wasn't for them. There is consequences in the choices one makes and at the end of it all, everyone's human. When porn stars retire or move on, I guess that is their way of finally feeling redeemed and free.

it's ok also for some people to voice out their minds on issues they used to do, it doesn't matter what it was, if they feel it was detrimental in their lives or could harm others lives, it could be looked at as a duty. One may watch or listen to those whistle blowers and think about what they say, if it's right in their minds, what's wrong with it then. And one has to be responsible for their actions. Anything which prevents progress in a person's lifetime has to be reviewed and revisited for analysis.
