Aeon Flux

Guess I'm in the minority here. I always liked the characters and the story but I despise the animation. I used to be a huge anime fan and aeon flux's animation doesn't compare to even mediocre Japanize animation to me.

Did'nt the cartoon have BIG jugs:confused:

Yeah, Charlize doesn't fit the part very well. But she is a very good actress so I'll give her the benefit of the doubt that she can pull it off. I'm definitely going to se the movie.

Not sure about the movie yet, But Charlize is looking mighty fine!

It'll probably crash & burn like the Tomb Raider movies did. Such a great game, but horrible movies. :2 cents:

I hope not - the cartoon was amazing, some real dark moments and the animation style really suited it. Really looking forward to the transfer of it onto movie and im praying that it is not going to try and grab the hollywood glamour and be a film for the real fans of the cartoon. The only problem I have with it so far is that it's a PG so not looking good.

Just saw the movie yesterday.... didn't get it at first but it was amazing towards the end. Everyone should go see it

Explain.
Did you already know the premise from the cartoon? Or were you an Aeon noob?

I've heard dreadful things about it and make me think twice about paying for a ticket instead of an eventual DVD rental!

I watched it today, it is actually pretty good. It's nothing like Tomb Raider so have no worries. There are some good elements that have been carried over from the cartoon, some not really explained but you would relate to them if you have watched the cartoon. I wouldn't say it was groundbreaking but still worth watching. Charlize Theron looks stunning in every scene aswell - what other reason do you need?!!

Yeah, Charlize alone in a sexy role is almost worth the price of admission!

I'll end up seeing it - I just don't want to get pissed off that I paid for another "too dark" (lighting), "too many special effects", "too many stupid costumes" sci-fi flick. That was ok when I was 15...

You know these tall models types and I get along pretty well....;) :D

Damn, I just checked the release and it's TBA for Italy and 2 Feb for Switzerland.... the wait!

you guys actually liked this movie!

It luckily doesn't carry off any of these. The costumes are pretty sensible (and sexy), lighting wise there are no problems, it's not set in some un certain future where street lighting is a major power concern!! The effects I thought were pretty good, and the futuristic element carried over from the cartoon was well captured.

Agreeing with Foxy though, the story could have been buffed up slightly.

With the way productions move now-a-days the movie could be out on DVD before Feb. 2nd.

So does the dvd release date depend on how good the movie does? b/c a lot of bad movies have had dvds come out really quick

I think(and I'm not an expert) part of the time has to do with demand and features. Like The Devils Rejects. My buddy was braggin about going to see it and then weeks later it came out on DVD, but he told me there was few special features.
