By the way, age of consent in New York (State) is 14 with parent's permission. it's true, look it up. As long as *** or *** say it's okay, a 30 year old can hook up with a 14 year old. Granted, no parent in their right mijne would agree to this, but the courts allow this. I'm hoping i don't get ****** for stating that, but it is the law, mods.

For New York, "age of consent" is 17.
"Marriageable age" is 16 with parent's consent and 14 with both parental and judicial consent. This is actually probably a good thing for them since the couple will have a signed legal document to fall back on.

No, the age that you can actually have sex with someone is 14 with parental consent. If a 14 year old's parent's give her consent to have sex with a 40 year old, she can do it. Trust me, I deal with this stuff everyday in my line of work. We had to know this stuff before we could even begin the job (while in training).
