So I was watching an episode of my favorite youtube show when I saw this beauty. I instantly wanted one. Then I was talking to a friend who was looking for a new home defense system and I said I thought the AA-12 would make a great addition to her toolkit, but her husband said they are garbage. So what do you think about this much vaunted weapon. If you like it, why, if no, what is better?

How much zombie stopping power does the AA-12 have? When the dead return I need something that will be effective yet holds a decent ammo capacity, oh and doesn't make a lot of noise either.

Here Zombie, Zombie, Zombie...
I have personally handled and fired those wonderful pieces of engineering. And I had a massive hard on while doing it that couldn't be quenched with enough ammo that I poured through it. If I lived in a better place, I would already have one in my collection.

Your best bet for the Zombie Apocalypse is going to be very sharp sword. Tailor made for taking heads and never runs out of ammo. It's the living you need the guns for.

 You're just a sad little man....you really don't get it.

i would absolutely love to have on. theyre amazing creations. even if i had to have a semi auto version cause of the anti-gun laws, id still be happy. as long as i got a drum magazine with it

It does make one hell of an equalizer.

I'd like to shoot one. But I doubt I'd buy one... since it would have to be a pre-1986 model. And if you get an older select fire weapon, you better make sure that it's not "shot out", and if so, you better make sure you can source parts for it. This thing is too rare for that, IMO. If I ever buy a select fire or full auto weapon, it will definitely be an H&K MP-5.

On a gun forum I used to go to, a guy claimed to have fired one and said he'd even met Gerry Baber. I don't think it's junk at all. Apparently it's primarily made of stainless, with some titanium components. The design and engineering are said to be top notch. I don't know much about them, but from what I've read, the AA-12 is a well made (and unusual) weapon.

Not that I need an MP-5 either. But I've heard that a pre-86 AA-12 goes for over $12 grand. And I can't imagine paying that much for something that I MIGHT fire a couple of times a year.
