We're getting to the crux of it here. Christy was fairly ubiquitous and so will have benefited from picking up lots of fans from each of the websites she has shot for over the last twelve months, which was almost anyone. She's also fairly easy to like with her honest and open, quirky nearly-mad personality and has great rapport with some of the other performers who love working with her. She's a fan's dream on Twitter forever putting up pics of her T&A (not just her dog, although Pitrick does feature often) and having friendly banter with other porn stars. She's one of the hot current stars and as still a performer in development as in she hasn't done every type of scene yet, which sometimes can cause people to get bored with a lady once they've seen everything. At the end of the day, FreeOnes is frequented by Joe Average Porn Fan in his millions, a vast proportion of whom just watch their porn and get off to it, without the need to come onto a board like ours and talk about it. To guys like Joe who frequent the mainstream sites and love the people turning out the goods, I fully expected Christy and Aletta to get a good amount of votes - although I was surprised/delighted that Christy won - as two of the most "big name"/"out there" names on the MFO list, talent they see fucking a lot, like watching fuck, and yes, would love to fuck themselves. Had she been a member, I expect the equally ubiquitous and all-conquering Asa Akira would probably have won.

She carries it off slightly better than I imagined but her face/eyes/skin tone/something just make her more suited to darker hair. xfire, depending on the natural length of Christy's mohawk at any given time (she often wears a weave on set) she is perfectly capably of wearing her hair down to conceal the exposed sides if she feels like it. She just never feels like it. I have a friend who does the same except her long black hair conceals pink shaved down sides.
animus, the tats are an interesting point of conjecture because for every person thinking "ewww look at all the tattoos" I imagine there to be a much bigger proportion thinking "cool ink" and preferring the look. Tattoos are not just merely "popular" anymore, if I think about my own circle of friends, mostly in the 25-32 age bracket, I'm in the minority by far for not having them - and I've been planning mine for ages. They're not just for rockers and convicts any more, they're an outrageously popular form of expression of what can be the most important people/things/places/memories of your life or your philosophies/words to live by. In the words of another of my favourite entertainers, "I feel almost sorry for people who don't get tattoos, because it shows they don't strongly believe in anything as I believe in." He's a bit up himself, but I think you get the point - "I'm passionate enough about this that I want it on my body forever." There's a whole generation out there that either have that passion about something or at least want the world to see they do, singers, actors, sportspeople. Christy, Bonnie Rotten and so on are that generation, they just chose fucking over picking up a microphone or guitar or getting a "normal job."
Fun fact, at work I once interviewed Tecwen Whittock (the "cougher" from the above). Naturally, I coughed often while talking to him about his finances. He seemed to muster a wry smile, he probably doesn't get much grief from the public since it was only by virtue of his name on my screen that I knew who he was, and you don't have that problem in Boots or Pret.
But yeah, Christy. Some people don't like her, millions do. She won. DEAL WITH IT, wind your necks in, and go find something to take some joy in, rather than whining about something that a) you can't change and b) doesn't really matter in the context of your life.

personally I only became familiar with Christy about 5-6 months ago, and even now I still havent seen a great deal of her work, but what I have seen has been good. Theres.'s no denying that she is hot as hell with a smoking hot body, the tattoos are a personal thing, I dont mind them but I can see why some people might not. But at the end of the day like someone said earlier, the problem with contests like this is that when people's favourites dont win they kick up a fuss because they cant believe that no one else thinks the same way enough to vote her as number one.
