A question to those that have/had girlfriends

I've never had a girlfriend in my entire life and I've been rejected by every girl I've ever asked out. However, today, at work, things went a bit differently. A co-worker of mine who I hit on everday and have asked out too many times to count said to me today "You are incredibly nice. I would so date you if I didn't have a boyfriend. I was just telling Cathy (another co-worker) this the other day. I swear to God would. IF I DIDN'T have a boyfriend." She then proceeded to wish me a good weekend and went home.

Did she say that just to be nice and to build my self-esteem (after all, she DOES have a boyfriend so why even say it), or did she truly mean it and for whatever reason wanted to inform me? Any clue? I'm currently on cloud 9 right now and need a does of reality. It's a weird thing to say considering I've asked her out like 50 times and each time she's said no.

I would think that she said it to be nice, but who knows, man. Since you've asked her out like 50 times, maybe she thought that this may be a better way to make you go away rather than to be rude with you. I don't know.

Usually when a woman says "If I didn't have a boyfriend...." they mean it. If you work with this woman she wouldnt lie because she knows that eventually she might break up w/her dude and You Might be back.

Point is, you have your mojo, kavorka on. Go out tonight and keeping flirting.

lol, yeah I usually never have confidence. However, there's a freaking blizzard outside so going out isn't really an option.

I think we need a females perspective on this because no matter how many girlfriends any of us have, none of us are going to work out what women mean when they say things.

Are there any women in tonight who would like to give their opinion on this case?

Who is this ‘Cathy’ bird? I think she was trying to set you up with her or Cathy was talking about how much she likes you & she was agreeing.

But if you don’t like Cathy the solution is simple -

1. Follow the girl home.
2. Murder her boyfriend.
3. Hey presto you will soon be the proud owner of a new girlfriend.

PS - does she look hot dressed in black & crying tears of grief?!?

No, they're just good friends and Cathy's married. And yes, I bet she does look hot in black & crying tears of grief.

Call her bluff. Ask her to go out as friends.

To a restaurant or coffee house.

I wouldn't get too excited. Do you know how many times I've been told things like that before? Do you know how many of those times was just because they were being nice? Umm...pretty much all of them. If you hear something like...

Why aren't there more guys like you?
If I didn't have a boyfriend, etc.
Any girl would be lucky to have you (my personal favorite)

...then don't get too worked up over it. Most women say those things to be nice. Sure, it's nice to hear every once in a while, but don't look too far into it.

FYI - Every single girl who has said "ANY girl would be lucky to have you" has never once shown interest in dating me themselves, which just goes to show how much of their words are complete bullshit.

She probably means exactly what she said. You're a nice guy and if she were single and you asked her out she'd probably say yes.

And don't worry BlueBalls, not even women understand other women all the time :1orglaugh We can be a pretty messed up species if we want to :1orglaugh

So it was probably a line of bullshit? Hmph, thought as much.

Alright, so today she was saying how much she hated her boyfriend, that he wasn't worth shit, and how there are no good guys left in the world. I told her straight out that her boyfriend isn't worth shit, treats her like shit, and that I wanted to go out with her and that I would treat her with respect. She, of course, refused, stating she loves her boyfriend.

I swear to my Holy God in heaven that I'm sick of this shit. There was another girl at work today that said I was a nice, good, and respectful young man who would make a great husband, yet she stays with her deadbeat, abusive boyfriend. I seriously feel like going Taxi Driver on every woman I've ever encountered.

BlueBalls has a good point...

When I began hitting on my girlfriend, she used to say similar things.

But then again, Blueballs has a good point. :dunno:

It's the honest truth. Her name is Nicole and she is fucking gorgeous (most people would find her meh and chubby but I think she's beautiful and thick). I don't understand her at all. I'm not even the passive "let the girl walk all over me" type nice guy, I'm just a person that is nice and treats women with the upmost respect, but at the same time will stand up for myself. I don't fucking get it.

Do you have black hair? If not, you're doomed to a loneliness or a fuglyness. Dye it black, shave it all/most all off, get a 2 day old beard, work out your tummy muscles, and you're a celeb.
Women are all the same.....
