Jawja should be one of the first places that gets a ban. You guys have been under SEVERE DROUGHT conditions since....hmmm...for years now! All it takes is one drunk asshole to start a blaze that would make Gen Sherman envious.....

Have you guys gotten decent rainfall lately? Florida was in a similar drought condition, but I think they have rec'd plenty of rain to lift them out of the drought....

YES!!!! We went from level 4 drought to non-drought conditions about 3 weeks ago. All outdoor watering restrictions lifted. I could actually go out now and wash my car LEGALLY (imagine that)

Of course it only rained once since that day....

We usually have a family gathering and do our own.

i usually find myself watching fireworks and celebrating. one year i put on my own firework display in a baseball field by my girl at the times house, which resulted in me runnin from the cops.... good times. but to be honest, in my opinion the actual firework and bbq and beer celebration that seems typical to me seems very superficial and unnecessary. as long as we take the time to in our own way take a pause in our day and recognize the event and everything that everyone involved had to do and give up to allow us to have this day, that to me is all that is necessary. but who in their right mind is gunna turn down a brat and a beer and some big bangs in the sky????

Something that I find interesting is how fascinated people are over explosives blowing up in the sky. I find American fireworks to be rather dull. All they are are colored bursts in the sky. Mexican fireworks are much more elaborate and interesting, with words being spelled out, images drawn, and figures created in the sky.
Enjoy yourselves lads, 4th July 1776, a great day when you told the motherland to go fuck herself! :D

Perfected. ;)
WWE every Monday night.

Fucking A! Last Monday I worked the WWE Monday Night Raw farce at the HP Pavilion in San Jose. Even after working for bands like KISS and Megadeth I have never seen so much pyro as I did for WWE. At one point when I was walking by pyro world I thought that the Taliban would be drooling over the amount of explosives in the building at that moment.

wow i didnt know all the laws around the ud here im michigan they are legal as long as they are done by 11 pm and they dont get taller then the trees which leaves out all the real big pretty ones but i live right next to a ball park and get to see those every friday from april to aug .

i mostly just do an hour show for all the kids around our neighbor every year with stuff that dont leave the ground that far

I don't bother with fireworks. It's just too much of a waste of money in my opinion. I don't really like listening to them either. They are both annoying and make me think of bombs going off around me.

I like watching fireworks, but I don't bother either. Considering how far the U.S. has fallen from the ideals of its founders, the 4th of July isn't particularly important to me. Sure, they weren't exactly paragons, but compared to the current crop of politicians... I don't feel like celebrating.

I don't give a shit anymore. You know what I'm doing for the 4th? Nothing. Absolutely nothing. I'll probably beat my bishop, drink some beer and that's about it.

I usually go and watch, whether it be at the relatives' place or somewhere else, and my neighbors usually let them off almost all night so I hope I can still sleep when I get tired!

I like fireworks. I didn't hear much talk about them though. Last year there was quite a turnout. I was too afraid to ask or read about it in case I heard there wasn't enough money in the budget.

Fancy that. American States not having enough money for fireworks in major cities.

In Portland there were two or three enormous displays. I agree with D-Rock though, they do sound like bombs going off.

I am so far behind on movies, I will need to budget time to catch up.

We have always done our own. Between me and my best friend we would usually spend about $300. I have to work all freaking weekend this year though.

I'll be leaving shortly to drive up to my brother's place for the 4th. I've seen so many fireworks shows they're no big deal to me, but naturally my nephew is fascinated by them, so we'll be attending their local show.
