People who listen to music but do not know how to play any musical instrument will probably say that she play well but does she know how to play the guitar technically correct way?

People who read your bullshit threads will probably ask that he write but does he know how to write technically the correct way? You're so retarded.

I think there is no correct way to play a guitar. Mark Knofler does not use a pick, Yngwie Malmsteen uses a scalloped guitar, Van Halen invented the tap lead technique. Everyone has their own style, as long as you are in rhythm and playing it right you are fine.

Music is in your soul....just because you can play technically, doesn't mean you have the soul to feel the music, just like people that can play, and feel the music, might not be able to read sheet music.

There are no rights and wrongs....just what's in your soul. If people played music by the rules, there would've been no Jimi Hendrix, Pink Floyd...or untold numbers of old blues men, that helped shaped the way rock and roll came to be. No go get Rosetta Stone, for English, so Ace can type on his keyboard, without punching his monitor.

I really don't believe that Eddie Van Halen invented drifting....he may have used it enough to bring it into main stream guitar playing...but I think the only thing he invented was over priced signature model guitars, and obnoxious arrogance, when discussing his over rated talent.

But I can't be sure....

About the drifting part....

My bad.... Tap leads may not have been invented but here is why I was under the impression that he did..... He did help make it firmly enter the rock mainstream..

I agree, but there are people (musicians, music teacher and other music professionals) who could say that : "While My Guitar Gently Wheeps-song is too difficult for her", "She did not know how to play quarter notes", Her sound is too thin", "Woman do not know how to play the guitar". xD

Music is in your soul....just because you can play technically, doesn't mean you have the soul to feel the music, just like people that can play, and feel the music, might not be able to read sheet music.

That's true, but music is the thing that can be studied and those people who teach music playing have clear opinions:

"Do it this way", "Do not look at your fingers when you play", "You suck and you can not play the guitar":

Nowadays anyone can be a professional musician. Little bit of auto-tuning and even by playing air pressure guitar one can become a hardcore rockstar in no time. :suspicious:

By the looks of it the girl is handling everything well. Two important notes, though:

- I was taught that professional guitarists never let the thumb of the fretting hand stick out from the back of the guitar neck. The thumb should be pressed against the very back of the neck to ensure greater exertion of pressure against the strings, and you get a better, more comfortable reach-out for the strings.
- You may be puzzled with the use of a pinky to be pressed against the ring finger. That's legit. It helps with exerting more pressure against the string fretted by the ring finger so that the string rings clearer and longer.

... Van Halen invented the tap lead technique. ...

Seriously, this myth should be busted for good. I read that there were guitarists before Hackett who practiced early ways of tapping.

It says in the beginning she made an arrangement on the song.
The six year old is an excellent rock´n´roll drummer.
He will have time to develop taste too.
