I love how having these babies could actually kill the 9 year old girl, aaaaaaand, the babies are the result of a rape! And the catholic church objects!

I am a Catholic and this one thing I never agreed with, especially in a situation where the girl was raped. A woman or in this case a girl has a right to choose especially when it endangers her life.
The girl was involuntary raped and they think that she should have to carry the result to term. Is that fair to the girl? No its not, lets come into some reality for once.
This is what I don't understand from people that are pro-life, it just perplexes me that sometimes they "just don't get it". It's time to use some common sense and come into reality instead of acting like a bunch of stick in the mud with values that are not realistic in this day and age.

I dont think they have thought this throught completely, but hey when does a person of faith ever think something through completely :1orglaugh. She could not carry these children and why should she have to? She was raped, this was the best thing to do.
Can they see that those of us who are actually alive and are conscious to the world around us are far more important than something that is only 2 inches long and has no oher function within itself other than a circulatory system that its getting from the mother. The well being and the health of this 9 year old is what they should be focusing on and caring for if they actually care at all (I doubt it), not attacking an innocent who did not get herself in this position but was forced into it.

Catholic church has always been against abortions, so if they now would have wanted her to do abortion that would mean they don't believe in their own teachings.

How did you cross, "any abortion is murder" from the standpoint of the Catholic Church with the "people should be responsible for their actions" pro-life camp?
The overwhelming majority of people in the pro-life camp fully agree that abortion is justified in the case of incest, rape and several other cases, including the life of the woman being threatened. The Catholic Church believes that it's God's will, regardless of the innocents are harmed, totally different.
Don't cross the two. Don't assume one is the same as the other. Don't demonize one as the same as the other to fit a political alignment when it does not.
A political candidate, say Jeb Bush, can both publicly declare and in actual, executive action as governor protect the rights of women to abort in the cases of incest, rape or when her life is threatened, and people like yourself will throw them in with the most right-wingers.
It only backfires for those of us who are pro-choice, because we're now making a claim that is false. Argue against the statements people actually make, not the statements that other people make that you believe are associated with them. Otherwise you undermine the effort.

I am pro life, but I do believe there are some cases where abortion is justified, and this is one of those cases. I have a hard time calling this abortion murder, I really do. I feel so sorry for that little girl and this is one case I really don't know what my true feelings are. But I will say this, when one of those Catholic parents have a 9 year old child that gets raped and is pregnant, I'd be willing to hear what they have to say about it. Should be interesting and enlightening.

Yes they can. The record is an 8 year old girl that was raped and became pregnant a long time ago, something like 40+ years. Look it up, but it does happen. It's very sad to think about.
That is true and you're right, but no other group of yahoos bitch and moan about abortion, divorce, anti-gay issues more than the Catholic Church. Sure all religions bitch and moan, but the loudest is the CC. There comes a time when the Catholic Church should just cut bait and do what they can to financially sustain themselves and stop propping up and appeasing to the needy, who only add to their deficit.
