80's Music Recommendations?

....but depending to the 60's and 70's, the 80's were a lousy century for music. if i think about all this shit which comes with "new wave" (like spandau ballet, abc, ...), pop (rick astley, ..), the we-look-like-the-fraggles-to-give-sense-to-our-life-illness (kajagoogoo, culture club), of course the we-dress-us-like-girls-to-overplay-our-lack-of-talent (poison, winger, britny fox) and not to forget highly overrated acts like Bon Jovi, Mötley Crüe, Simple Minds, Saga, Toto, Asia, Eurythmics, Queen (great in the 70s, but then?)..

..it's similar of being stoned to death :D

Ah the 80ies, the Golden Years of my adolescence :nanner:

Here are a few of my faves back then:

Hanging out with my mates, drinking beer and thinking about raising trouble

Judas Priest - Breaking The Law

The mainstream shit only I listened to, and of course never would tell my buddies about, not wanting to be viewed as gay

New Kids On The Block - Step by step

Ah, the insane rumble about two straw puppets faking it up to the grammys! But hell, the music was catchy, wasn't it?

Milli Vanilli - Girl You know Its True

If you wanted to dance, this was the shit. Where is he now???

Terence Trent D'Arby - Dance Little Sister

Last, but by far not least: these ladies paved the way for all the Lil' KIms etc. Respect for making this record :hatsoff:

Salt-N-Pepa - Let's Talk About Sex

Good selection Supa ! How about Thee Grindah ! Remember that one ?

About Rob Halford - The gay part wasn't disclosed until later though . . . correct ? :D :jester:

Oh YEAH a classic piece. And, you know, as a german boy only learnign english step by step, I at first didn't catch the drift of Rob's attitude, but, when 'Hell bent for Leather' came along, I remember thinking to myself, 'Man, that guy really is a LOT like those Village People, only he seems to be in constant anal pain'
