Wasn't so lucky. Took it to a place that does that and nothing could be salvaged. The tech said when I it hit, it cracked it just enough to damage the core memory. It's okay. I just got a new spiffy one and got everything installed. It was time for an upgrade I guess.

Sorry about the computer but that's a good way of looking at it. Many of us have had "almost disasters" as well but got off lucky.

I dropped my iPhone in the toilet once. What I did was put it in a bowl of rice. The next day the iPhone was fixed and the repairman ate the rice I left.

Yep. Memorial Day is a Federal Holiday. Memorial Day has its meaning for honoring and morning but it is also a holiday known for BBQs and get togethers. We are having a BBQ with some guests.
