Let's not make this political. Let's leave that to other, existing threads (of which, many, many exist, including those dedicated to conspiracy theories).
Let's take this time, regardless of the factors, decisions and other influences, to remember the innocent people who died on this day.
Let's take this time to remember all peace-loving citizens of various nations who die because of the cowardness of all types of combatants who intentionally target civilians.
For those citizens of NATO nations (I won't ask anyone else), let's remember those soldiers who are serving in Afganistan (regardless if you agree with the action/blame). For us Americans, let's remember our NATO allies who are making the sacrifices in Afganistan because they are honoring our agreement (again, regardless if you agree with the action/blame).
Please don't make this a political thread, even if you have beliefs that don't agree with various reported information, because this is about remembering the innocents who die in all sorts of conflicts because combatants choose to target them.
For those citizens of NATO nations, regardless of whether or not you agree with the action, thank your soldiers for serving, regardless of their feelings, because of treaties and other obligations -- people don't realize how much of a committment it is when a soldier does as he is told, in the most difficult of circumstances, that he will commit to an action -- that is the real sacrifice a soldier always makes, freedom for the freedom of others. Let's remember them, who are always "caught in the middle" along with the civilians of all nations they do their best to protect.
For us Americans, it's time to remember not only our soldiers who make the sacrifice, but those NATO nations who have honored our treaties, and are serving alongside our soliders, making the same sacrifices. I don't think our media does enough to highlight the fact that NATO nations are making the same sacrifices as we are in Afganistan.
Again, this post has nothing to do with any politics, but remember those who didn't have a choice and still don't, and that is always the ultimate sacrifice. If you don't get what I'm saying, even after all of this verbage, please do not comment then, as you aren't "remembering" as those of us that do "remember" who really didn't and still don't have choice and freedom in this entire matter.
