So we dont know if that's the actual reason, I doubt it, but I could be wrong. But just homour me for a second. This guy was so scarred his guns, I'm tempted to say "my, preciousssss ..." but I wont , that he shoots 3 people?

Thats just a stupid excuss by a friend who in my opinion wants to get on the news, and the only way he knows how, is to mention Obama in some way. Every body's doing it, I guess he wanted a bit of the action.

This guy was obviously mentally deranged in some way and I guess losing his job sent him over the edge. It's tragic that 3 people have died. But there is no need to bring politics into it, when there is no reason for them to be there.

Of course I'm just speculating, maybe he really was afraid Obama was going to take his preciouses away, if that was the case the man is a fool.

Man this is the 3rd or 4th big story to come from my city lately. As most people here on the forum has said, for the most part we really don't like cops, but in a situation like this, I hate to see any of them killed like that.

On a side note, I wouldn't want to be that guy right now for all the money in Ft. Knox.

The article sickens me for going on, and on, and on about supposed relations to Obama, but barely blurts out any nod or respect to the people that DIED.

This guy was insane and a criminal and should've long been removed from society, he could not legally obtain or own the guns he used either; his record was far from clean. So the tooting about the insane gun maniacs could take a break, he wasn't an insane gun maniac; he was just insane, with a long record of civil disturbance extending to dishonorable discharge from the USMC and a restraining order from his girlfriend, etc.

Officers were killed for no other reason than doing their job, they posed no immediate threat to him whatsover. My thoughts and prayers to them and their families.

You won't see articles about people who use guns to stop robberies, let alone actually killings that were about to happen. But you sure as hell see these extremely rare (statistically), but commonly front-page news "breakdowns" when they do happen.

They don't need these extreme shootings for fodder when tens(10's) of thousands die each year due to gun violence & only a few hundred(If that)are justifiable murders.

You won't see many articles of a gun used to thwart felonies because it is extremely rare that it happens in relation to overall gun related felonies. I am confident that most people(men particularly) who are killed by guns were probably gun owners themselves. Criminals prey on unsuspecting victims at their most vulnerable , in most instances ,who never get a chance to reach for or get to their weapon.


I own three guns & appreciate the 2nd amendment ,but find it funny how the pro gun lobby bestows power upon guns that they don't have. I do believe the threat of a person owning a gun makes a criminal more cautious ,but definitely won't stop crime.

Honestly, this leaves far more questions than answers and I don't even want to start talking about the fact, that this guy shot three people, let alone that these people were peace officers.

If this is the everyday insanity, that has to expected in the US today, that country is slowly drifting away from modern day's standards for civilized western societies. And by the alarming rate by which shootings like that occured over the last several months, this has to be worried about.
I mean, it's not very praiseworthy, that obviously at least three police officers have to be sent out nowadays just to deal with a domestic disturbance call, but for them to get shot doing that is just way beyond good and evil...
I hope this will not become an everyday reality that people in the US will just have to get used to.

The man had an AK-47 for fuck's sake. Reminds me of the fact that in many (most, all???) states you can legally own a .50 caliber rifle that's fully capable of bringing down a commercial jet plane.

Also, your claim about news stories isn't true. I HAVE read stories about people using guns to stop criminals successfully. I have also read stories about thugs disarming people and wounding or killing them with their own gun. It all gets covered.
