Interesting. The city is roughly evenly split between white, black, and Latino residents. With 50 wards, it would make sense to have 16 wards for each group with two competitive wards. At the last redraw, the split was 19 white, 18 black, and 16 Latino. Currently there are 20 black aldermen.

I would lean toward the blacks since they have the lead currently and can leverage existing power.
