Three lullabies in an ancient tongue
Marco Estrada was absolutely brilliant in a Toronto 7-1 win today. He gave up a single in the 4th & nothing until a solo shot & single in the 8th. His fastball topped out at 91 mph. So, take the radar guns & slide rules & stuff 'em geeks.

A power pitcher can overwhelm a hitter with pure speed. Of equal importance, regardless of velocity, is location. If a pitcher can combine the two, he becomes dominant although either attribute can be in and of itself carry a pitcher to success. Estrada showed the latter today.....a very timely performance for the Jays. Still alive!

Moving to a trailer in Fife, AL.
Heard a great point on ESPN Radio today. Having Bartolo Colon show the young Mets arms that location of a fastball is just as, or more important than, a 98mph fastball may have made the young arms better faster. Having 98 and being a Rembrandt makes it almost unfair to the hitters. Look at Greg Maddux and Tom Glavine. Because they could paint the corners, they got calls and frustrated many a hitter.

Well Manager Joe Maddon and the Cubs have finally been burned ... using catcher Kyle Schwarber as the left fielder. He's been productive at the plate with 5 home runs and seven RBIs this postseason but what a defensive liability he has been out there. His bad play in this NLCS has led to giving the Mets four runs.

For all my fellow Freeoners...We're an inclusive group and there is plenty of room on the bandwagon. You don't even have to take your own colors, off, just put on a Mets cap and jump aboard!

Ryan Madson elevates a 96 MPH 4 seam fastball to Jose Bautista. He hits his second homer of the game. Blue Jays and Royals are tied 3-3 in an 8th inning rain delay.

So there it is. It will be the World Series winner of '85 vs the World Series winner of '86.

But not without controversy.

... without Don Denkinger's blown call in game 6 and Joaquin Andujar and Whitey Herzog being ejected in game 7 -- the Cardinals should have won the Series in game 6.

And the Mets... well, the Bob Stanley wild pitch and then the Bill Buckner error after 2 outs in the inning, the Mets and Gary Carter down to the last strike -- the Red Sox should have won the Series in game 6.

This 2015 World Series will be a good Series between the Mets and Royals. It will go seven games.

Mets are going to crush them the rest of the way.

No. I think the Mets are done. They really needed to get even in the Series with the Kansas City Royals. They didn't by losing 5-3 tonight on that huge error from NLCS MVP to WS Goat, Daniel Murphy. It's only a matter of time before this is done. It depends if the Royals want to win tomorrow night, Sunday or bring it back home in front of their fans on Tuesday night. Either it ends in five games or in six games. There will be no game seven.
