Once my favorite team got knocked out, I can't help but root for the Royals. They have sucked for so long! Better them than another Giants or Cardinals World Series win hopefully.

Congrats to the Giants. They just took the series right away from us. No excuses....we got outplayed, outpitched and outmanaged. Them's the breaks! We'll be back next year. Our farm system is loaded with talent. Should be a great World Series.

Ump crew and instant replay will play an important role in the series. Would like to have Joe "Cowboy" West as crew chief. Please no Angel Hernandez.

Crew Chief will be Jeff Kellog. His 5th WS. 4 umps will be their first. West and Hernandez are out. Key will be the strike zone. Since players have not seen umps from the league, hope there's consistency in calling balls. A factor that many MLB fans do not point out.

World Series: Kansas City vs. San Francisco

I don’t think anybody predicted this World Series match up at the start of the season. Heck nobody could have seen this coming at the start of the postseason. Two wild card teams with less than 90 wins in the regular season. Both have great bullpens, neither really relies on the long ball and both can score in a number of different ways. It should be a fun series to watch. I could make a case for the Giants postseason experience. But I don't think the Royals are going to be overwhelmed.

Bold Ass Prediction: Kansas City in 6 games.

Me too. I was working a cook job at a sports bar in suburban St. Louis in 1985. We cannot get past the blown call in Game 6 until these two meet again. Since that time, my allegiance has shifted and I am now American League all the way. But if they do meet again (in a WS and not interleague) then I will look forward to the Cardinals issuing the Royals the biblical skull fucking that they so richly deserve.

But don't get me wrong....GO ROYALS! :thumbsup:

I made a decent sized wager on Giants/Angels

But I also took a 50 cent flyer on a Giants/Royals matchup at juicy odds

Actually it would be sweet and ironic justice if the Royals lost the series on a bad call for this Cardinal fan but I would rather see the Royals win than keep this "Giants win every even year" bullshit going.
