2012 Presidential/Vice Presidential Debates Thread

It is absurd how Ryan and Romney skew the distort the truth. I'm sure if I was to count it, they would have a healthy lead over Obama's lies. However, is that a good thing? Is that what we hold the president to? He lies a little less than the other guy?

I thought the post debate performance of Obama was a little telling of his lack of ability. You need to slam Romney during the debate. It comes across suspicious if you do it afterwards when he can't respond. Not that he shouldn't have, but he had to because of his performance in the debate.

I just don't get why we cut any of these guys slack. These stupid one sided arguments IS the f'ing problem.

I know I'm replying to your post xfire, but it is only because yours is the last of the thread of this particular topic. Im more speaking out loud than specifically to you.

One Minute and Forty Seconds of a BEAT DOWN!

The only response the erstwhile Moonbat Messiah could come up with to the pounding Romney gave him last night was a pathetic little smirk:

Apparently it’s not enough to have the debates moderated by Obama’s liberal media janissaries. If he’s going to win a debate, he’ll need one for an opponent.

Lemme guess... xfire still believes Obongo won the debate, right?

Remember the classic phrase? - "A picture is worth a thousand words." Well, in this case, two thousand words. :wave2: :rofl2: :D

I'm going to explain this situation because, even though I have some VERY conservative minded friends in the real world whos opinions I respect, I do happen to think that most Republicans are stupid. The interesting part is that even if you explain a tactic to a moron, they still don't have the brains to understand what's going on anyways.

Here's the deal: If Obama had crushed Romney right out of the gate, Romney would have gotten a sympathy boost from viewers. Nobody likes the sitting president acting like a bully. Romney got his one free pass, now prepare to watch the Right Wing get it's ass kicked in the remaining debates.

It really is that simple.

Really? So the whole gameplan was to stand there and let Romney say anything and not challenge him on any of his charges. Put up no defense. Save it all for later. Let's see how that plays out.

Yeah I don't buy it either. Obama has never been great debater and did not look very well prepped. He needs to be much more aggressive next time. Although he will be helped by the publics questions to Romney. I expect we will hear about the 47%, Romney's lack of details on his tax plan. And vulture capitalism. But Romney also has another advantage, he does not have to defend any real record like Obama does, since about the only thing Mitt has been doing since well before 2008 is running for president.

I don't like the excuse of Obama not being a debater. He's been listening to people bash him for the past 3 plus years. Hell, he's had to do this since he first started running for public office. Be prepared to defend your policies and your job record. Just like when it is review time at work. Get ready take a stand and fight for the raise you think you deserve. I don't think the 47% thing should come up. That's just far left bullshit. Poke holes into Mitt's policies and plans of action. God knows Mitt hasn't revealed a plan yet. Slam him on that. Make him the empty chair. Take the risk that he has some sort of plan to reveal. This isn't some organized rally with your colors flying everywhere. Face to face without others choosing sound bites.

"A bad day at the track is always better than a good day at work"

Sounds like the slogan of Democrats.

1. Lose money ******** and call it a good day.
2. Work your job making money and call it a bad day.

Fucking liberals / democrats can kiss my Conservative / Republican ass.

Does anyone want to take a shot at this before I do?

He will take it better coming from you.
Personally I'm not even sure what he is talking about or where got that and frankly I really don't care. Thought you guys had pledged to just ignore his idiocy? He is not Romney ,no danger in not responding to him.....

Oh, I have no intention of responding to Mitch, I was responding to bob. I won't put the idiot bob referred to on ignore, though, I'm just ignoring him.

Romney really fucked this up. His attempts to control the debate by constantly challenging the moderator like he did totally backfired. Instead of looking presidential he came off as a spoiled little asshole who doesn't take well to not getting his way. Actually, it's probably a pretty accurate assessment of him IMO. And I couldn't believe that he was dumb enough to tee up his infamous "47%" comment for Obama like he did in the closing segment. Really a major fuck up. Win for Obama.

Obama did better than last time. The moderator was also very biased though. Romney had a few bad moments, but it wasn't a slaughter.
