2012 Presidential/Vice Presidential Debates Thread

This debate was definitely more of what I expected to see.

I think the election is more interesting than I thought it would be a month ago.

I remember more lines from Obama, therefore he wins. The line about the bayonets and horses, the lines about Romney's foreign policy ideas from the 80s and social policy from the 50s, etc

Racing is life... anything else is just waiting.
I only watched parts of it. But it seemed to me that Romney pretty much did in this last debate what Obama did in the first one. And why in the hell did Romney keep agreeing with Obama? I mean I know he's trying to portray himself as the new kinder & gentler (slightly more human) Mittster. But good grief, dude, if you're going to essentially agree with most of Obama's foreign policy positions, why would anybody vote for you? We could just keep him and accomplish the same thing.

One blog suggested that Obama (though maybe not on purpose) used the old Muhammad Ali rope-a-dope on Romney. He let him punch himself out in the first round (lulling him into a false sense of hope), slowly began tapping Romney in the head in the second round to soften him up... and then wore that ass out in the last round.

Very odd debate last night. I know foreign policy is not Romney's area of expertise, but all of that stammering and stuttering was a bit off-putting.

I truly believe Romney is going to win by a comfortable margin.

I wouldn't have thought so earlier on, but it is a possibility now that I wouldn't mock. I think I've been reading that it may be likely that we have another popular vote winner and electorate loser.

Very interesting indeed.

I just wish we had two candidate that when they spoke I didn't call out "Bullshit!" quite as often.

Romney was as impressive in the last debate as Obama was in the first one.

They both seem tired to me. I'm sure they have insane schedules they're keeping. Obama has looked worn, but has found some energy in the last two debates. Romney looked like he had dark circles under his eyes and was fighting to get some energy up.

I just got an email ad to buy a Jimmy Buffett for President cap. I didn't know he was running. Maybe he is a write in!

I think the USA needs at least a third party... most favorably a green party and/or a socialist party

I just threw up in my mouth a little at that last one. It isn't that I have anything against socialism in the right context. It is just a trained reflex.
