--My apologies to Buckeye fans. You defeated Iowa...albeit ugly. But I still think Stanzi is a better QB. :2 cents:
--Congrats to the kickers in the Nebraska/TAM game. :clap:
--Boise State: "O.K. we have a weak schedule. But we're kicking their asses by huge margins! What else ya want us to do?" :dunno:
--Attaboys to the Mississippis. Both played higher-ranked opponents, and both played them to the wire. :hatsoff:
--Harbaugh gets a gold Cardinal for his coaching of Stanford, which stuffed Cal yesterday for its sixth straight. People are calling Luck "the most draftable QB" coming out of college.
--The Nov. 26 game between Auburn and 'Bama is such a big event, that not only is it going to be played on Friday, but both coaches Nick Saban and Gene Chizik have been invited to the White House after the game for a special prescreening of the new Harry Potter movie. Saban has to bring the popcorn.

It's Iron Bowl week... I hope Bama pulls the rug out from under the house of cards that is sCam Newton and Auburn, dashing their hopes and dreams of an undefeated season (at least before the NCAA takes their magic wand and turns their Ws to Ls at a later date).

22/29 on my pics this week.

Ohio St. is way over ranked again, just as they are every single year at this time. AP has them at 8, USA today at 7. They would be dismantled by everyone ranked above them, and quite a few ranked below. I'd (generously) put them around 12. I also think LSU should be ahead of Wisconsin.

I thought they were the turkeys from Va. Tech for a second before I could make out that helmet was pitch green and had that goofy 'U' on it. What is this, their 60th uni in 10 years? Pretty soon I guess that stupid Ibis will be trying to do puss-ups like that duck in Oregon too. [:hatsoff: @ Jag:tongue:]

Lol you are right, they looked like Virginia Tech with the all orange get up and dark helmets. Btw uniforms are so much nicer when the helmet is the same color of the pants. IMO Miami looks best in all white, but they never do it, they always opt for the orange pants. But that all white is boss looking.

I would say Barkley is done for the season. There's no point in risking further damage. Let Mustain finish out the season.

I reality is setting in, and the team is giving up. With nothing to ultimately play for...motivation is laggin the Trojans. I doubt we'll be ready to play the irish. I think some idiot in turdwood will say something stoopid and SC will still beat ucla....barely.

How about Texas A&M? Another great win. Btw, someone help me here, I need someone who knows the Big XII. If OU beats Okie State, and all 3 are 6-2.......which would likely make them ranked OU, A&M, Ok St (in that order) in the BCS, who would go to the title game?? Would Texas A&M have a chance?

If OU beats OSU, and there's a three-way tie, OU will advance to the Big 12 title game. Mainly because OU will be the more highly ranked team. As for A&M, they most likely wont advance because they have 3 losses.

The Pac-10 is obviously not as good as I thought it was, there are only 2 quality teams, so that in my mind knocks down Oregon in my rankings. My apologies for ripping the Big XII and saying the Pac-10 is clearly better. I was wrong.

It's OK. I think with all the controversy about the Big 12 not being able to keep the conference together, people just automatically dismissed the Big 12 as an elite conference.

Even with Nebraska leaving next year, the Big 12 should be just as good as they are in 2010. Texas, OU, OSU, A&M, all have one thing in common.... they're very young.

If one or both of them finish in the top two of the BCS standings, they deserve to be there. That's what everyone (including the Big Ten) agreed to at the beginning of the year.
