Will be interesting...as the Big10 will have somewhat of a controversy as to who goes to the Rose Bowl assuming MSU and Wiscy finish with one loss.

Some of the Rose Bowl tie breakers the B10 primarily went by in the past was the obvious one of head-to-head then baring head to head, the team who didn't go last would would then go.

But now even though MSU beat Wiscy head to head...I think this season the B10 would be obligated to send/Rose Bowl invite the team with the highest BCS ranking.:surprise:

In a three way tie Wisconsin would go assuming that the BCS rankings stay the same. The only chance that Sparty goes is if there is a two way tie with them and Wisconsin. With no head to head between Ohio State and Michigan State a two way tie would go to BCS rankings.

I can't believe that I actually hope that Michigan wins against Ohio State.:o
But the way that things go for Sparty they will knock out the Badgers and lay an egg against the Buckeyes.

Yes, I'm new around here. And I'm also a Florida Gators fan who has had enough of our incompetent OC Steve Addazzio. His ass should be fired after that embarrassment Saturday night. We have a young team, but there's no excuse for playing the way we did.

south carolina...auburn..lsu..bama..or florida ..can beat you on any day..never take a sec team light...if we had a playoff starting saturday...them 4 teams would still be there when the smoke cleared...long live the SEC!!!!!!

Why would Sparty go in a two-way tie if Wiscy is still ranked higher than they are in the BCS?

Nice chest-thumping for your conference but pretty much the same statement could be made about the top 3-4 teams in any BCS Conference. Go ahead and strut your stuff though, bud. You've taken a blow with your beloved Tide so go for it man.

Auburn and Alabama might be, but this year's Florida team wouldn't make a playoff and LSU would manage to gaffe itself out early.

FIrst of all, that's 5 teams.......

Where's Arkansas?? I think Arkansas is real good. I can tell you my Gators would not do very well.......Carolina could make noise, but in the end Bama, Auburn, LSU, and Arkansas would have legit shots.

But so would a handful of teams from some other conferences (Big XII--OU, OSU, A&M, NU) (Big Ten-- OSU, MSU, UW) (Pac-10-- UO, SU, USC [hey they play to the level of the opponent, so they play up to good teams])

Btw I did not expect Fresno to lose to Boise State the way they did. I was thinking more like 20-24 points. That was embarassing, 51-0. I hate Boise State. They completely shut down good offenses. Unless Utah State upsets Boise State (haha as if), Boise State is gonna leave the WAC without EVER losing a conference game at home. I think I may be leaning toward the Broncos for #1. I've always thought TCU and Boise State were the best, most complete teams in the country (again, as teams, not necessarily by resume). But I now might have to flip their order.

Head to head still matters. Wisconsin would go in a two way tie with Ohio State even if the Buckeyes are ranked higher. But with OSU and MSU not playing each other then a three way tie goes to the BCS rankings as does a two way tie between OSU and Sparty.

More like the middle finger of fate.Damn well Washington finally played like they wanted it more.A 24-7 win is good for the pride.

Well we know one person around here did but we know he is a true fan.Way to go Smokinn.:hatsoff:

o nooooooo..i didnt see it sky..espn U<??...that must be a rich people channel.......but..only reason i wanted to see it was because im charmed by our new qb next year...damn hes a gun slinger:wiggle:

a cream puff bowl may be enough for you yumi...but not me..i will say no more about boise or tcu..till i see them beat a ranked team..they are both tops..for the level they play on...i can name you at least 5 teams that would have walked that cakewalk of boise or tcu..and now to me its to late ..i dont see no team playing for a national championship with a run like them two teams has had its like hell...they should be undefeated..im going to say this..if we had a playoff with the top ten teams..boise and tcu..would be the first teams on the bus going home...best they can do now is win one big game?? that dont close the deal with me.so they stomped grapes all year??..i see no teams like texas..okl...michigan..iowa...usc...wisc...florida st..miami...lsu..arkansas...just to name a few..i just dont see how you can crown a team champions..that has won one big game...and they may not win the one..:dunno:

Not completely true, smoker. Utah was ranked 5th when TCU dismantled them a couple of weeks ago and they also beat Baylor (ranked 24th as late as last week) and Oregon State (preseason #15). Likewise, BSU beat Va Tech (currently BCS #16) and Oregon State so you can't really make that statement. I do agree with your general premise however....there is no doubt that their overall schedules are much easier than any other team from a BCS conference. Sad truth is, we're quite likely to never know how good either one of them are yet once again unless your Crimson Tide can take out Auburn next week. If that's the case and both TCU and BSU win out (a cinch), it will be another BCS cluster fuck where someone undefeated ends up on the outside looking in as far as the NC game goes. How much more evidence do these idiots (the NCAA) need to realize that some sort of playoff has simply got to happen? This just ain't right. Settle it on the field, not some fucked up poll.

Geezus....here I go with my annual rant. Sorry. :D

I'm too lazy to fact check you, but if that's true it's quite impressive.

Purdue is up 21-13 on Sparty in East Lansing. :surprise: Surprisingly, the Boilers have played pretty well so far. A pick six by Ricardo Allen, an 80 yard run by Keith Carlos, and a 90 yard drive from Bob Henry to end the first half. Where the fuck has this team been all year?

Boiler Up!

Jesus goddamn fuckin' Christ! How in the fuckin' fuck do you give up 3 TDs in 6 minutes? And what the fuck was Henry doing on that throw out of the endzone? Who the fuck was that to?

This loss rests squarely on the shoulders of the coaching staff. I'm sick and fuckin' tired of our conservative play calling. We run the same goddamn screens and draws all game long. Big surprise that the defense eventually catches on. We had absolutely nothing to lose today. Fuckin' throw the ball down field! Jesus, we used to be basketball on grass. Now we just fuckin' suck ass.

Ugh! I'm going to go curb stomp some newborns.

week 12 Top 10

1) Oregon
2) Boise State
3) TCU
4) Stanford
5) Auburn
6) Ohio State
7) Wisconsin
8) Texas A & M
9) Alabama
10) Oklahoma

21 and 6 in the weekly pick 'em showdown.

Just when you think USC is starting to get it together ..... :o

O.K. I'm outing myself as an LSU fan... I think they're the best one loss team in the country(our loss was to the herman munster that's a quarterback and runs like a cheetah). But, their defense didn't show up for this game... I mean they intercepted a pass on ole miss's first drive but they didn't do anything else... ALL GAME!!! The best we can hope for now is a win against arkansas and a cool bowl. I remember the days of bad LSU football and see this as a GREAT season, and can hope for a national championship again, at some point.

I mean, they have won two NC's in the last ten years... just sayin'

Nice comeback for the Spartans. Btw why isn't head-to-head the tiebreaker even when there's 3 teams in the hunt?? If MSU is 1-0, UW 1-1, and OSU 0-1, against each other, why wouldn't they grant Michigan State the Rose Bowl berth? Dumb. And whatever happened to the old tiebreaker of letting the team that hasn't been there the longest go?

How about Texas A&M? Another great win. Btw, someone help me here, I need someone who knows the Big XII. If OU beats Okie State, and all 3 are 6-2.......which would likely make them ranked OU, A&M, Ok St (in that order) in the BCS, who would go to the title game?? Would Texas A&M have a chance?

The Pac-10 is obviously not as good as I thought it was, there are only 2 quality teams, so that in my mind knocks down Oregon in my rankings. My apologies for ripping the Big XII and saying the Pac-10 is clearly better. I was wrong.

Miami looked like the better team in their game IMO against Virginia Tech. But you ain't gonna win with 6 turnovers, 2 failed 4th downs, and a missed field goal. Typical Miami.

Went 17-8 on my picks. Meh. Woulda been better if Iowa and San Diego State hadn'tve choked late.

My top 10.......

1- Auburn
2- Boise State
3- Texas Christian
4- Oregon
5- Wisconsin
6- Ohio State
7- Stanford
8- Louisiana State
9- Michigan State
10- Oklahoma State

Once again, I am unsure how to order the top 4. And normally I have strong convictions in these sorta things. But it doesn't matter, win on the road next week against top 15/20 teams, and Auburn and Boise State solidify their status.
