Does Jesse Palmer irritate the shit out of anyone else here like he does me? I mean, what the fuck has this guy ever done to establish himself as an authority on college football?? :dunno::confused: Shut the fuck up, pretty boy.

And if I have to listen to one more mush-mouth, slobbery and blatantly-obvious comment by Lou Holtz I think I just might toss massive quantities of projectile vomit all over my big-screen TV.

Just feel like bitchin'....sorry to rant. :glugglug:

What other college football announcers/commentators get under your skin? I've got a list as long as your arm. :D

Wow. Notre Dame beat a ranked team! First time since 2006! And not only did they beat them, they didn't allow them to score a touchdown. And the biggest surprise is that special teams and defence made the game good for Notre Dame.

Next thing you know, they'll be relevant again. Maybe.

Thanks for not including this game in your 25 this week, Jagger. You cock holster. No more cuddling for you.

Cal is really close to oregon. Dare we dream? :D

My "Pick 25" only includes Division 1 teams, Dirk. :D

Oh man, that is so bad. If God (all 3 of them) truly is a Catholic, surely Touchdown Jesus will make sure I burn in hell for eternity.:flame::eek:

Congrats to you and your domers. I guess they kicked ass today....I didn't see it.

I'm totally unbiased in my contempt for these guys regardless of the outcome of any games for teams that I follow....they suck no matter what. :1orglaugh

Oops...I do see Texas in a bit of trouble...so maybe some there there?:o

The only football analyst I truly can't stand is Trent Dilfer. He is fingernails on chalkboard annoying. Craig James is generally a dummy who doesn't know anything about any other team other than the Texas schools. He seems to me to always be the least prepared.

I fookin' took it in the shorts this week on my pix :o Geez a lot of teams didn't show up today...hello Oregon State. Hello Georgia. Hello Florida.

He led the Gators to a game-winning TD in Knoxville to beat those UT fuckers with just seconds left. That's good enough for me.

(No but seriously, he does suck. And aren't usually analysts former stars?? Or at least starters?? Jesse Palmer rotated at QB his whole career at UF. First with Doug Johnson, then Rex Grossman. He could never win the job outright.)

My God, our offense is terrible. And I hate this whole hurry up offense. Why the fuck would you lengthen the game against a team with a much better offense?? Run the clock and keep 'em off the fucking field. Shorten the damn game. Ah well, congrats to Steve Spurrier and the public USC. Of course, it took UF, UGa, and UT all having bad years just for them to have a chance.

Tough, tough loss for Fresno State. This one hurts. I felt the Dogs deserved to win, but that disaster right before the half cost them the game. Robbie Rouse be killin' em though. I'll feel alot better if they bounce back and beat damn Boise State. Remember 2001. Payback mother fuckers.

Leave it to Purdue to make Michigan's defense look good. That Ryan Kerrigan guy is a fucking beast though.

Close wins for Oregon, Auburn (ish), and TCU. All that matters is they won. And I don't wanna hear that TCU whoulda won by more. San Diego State was 7-2. They are everybit as good (if not better) than Cal Berkeley and Georgia.

Wow, Illinois lost at home to Minnesota. That game alone should send Zook to the hotseat. I can't decide which loss was worse in his career. This one, or the one at Florida which got 'em fired when we lost to Mississippi State.......the same Mississippi State team that finished 3-8 and lost to Maine. Maine.

Btw that Florida team I think was better than this year's team. We sure could use Chris Leak and Ciatrick Fason on offense.

Man, ASU can't pull out the close ones. They are alot better than their record says. Wisconsin, Oregon, Stanford are all top 10 teams. And Arizona State coulda beat 'em all. Really got fucked over on a couple calls there late.

Ummmm...why? In a system where for ridiculous reasons they decided subjective judgment and voting should play such a critical role are you saying the actual quality of play on the field shouldn't be taken into account with that but only the end result no matter how the teams ended up with it?

<begin rant>

Iowa :wtf: What an embarrassment
Supposedly one of the best defenses in the nation and they were totally gassed in the 4th quarter against Northwestern. How are these guys not maximally conditioned? - it's week 11 of the season fer God's sake
Being as their defense couldn't withstand the tempo of Northwestern's offense I can well imagine what Oregon's would do to them. They'd all have to be hooked up to iron lungs.

</end rant>

And speaking of OREGON..........
.....here's hoping yesterday's game was supposed to be this year's season destroying LOSS, but that they managed to barely avoid it.

postscripts:

Texas A&M - first time I've watched them play this year. I liked what I saw. Aggies vs Nebraska should be a very good game to watch (and possibly bet) this week.

Dear Utah. Holy crap  I never drank the Ute Kool Aide but even still your last two games have been obscene.

And to tie a bow around week 11, I needed Air Force to beat New Mexico by 26 points or more to have a profitable weekend. So of course they beat them by 25

well i guess the answer for who #1 is over..i think we all know who that is now..since oregon and tcu should FALL the way i see it....(if you buy a CAM ..and it dont do everything you asked out of it..you bring it back..looks like the NC may be going to the SEC ...again ..and win it or not..in my heart their is no doubt about who the best player in the ncaa is..if you add it up and dont come up with cam newton..you better add it again..if auburn gets by bama and south carolina<the only 2 teams that has a chanch to beat them..they will be NC..thats my story and im stuck to it

:hatsoff: to south carolina..they were everything i said they would be this year..they have won the east and they are one of the best teams in the ncaa with 2 losses...also hats off to that bama defense ...that only returned 1 starter from last year...miss st said they done ok for rookies...they get 10 of them back next year....mercy..mercy

Cal should have won. A chink in the Ducks' armor...the blitz?

1- They won a weak ass division
2- They woulda been battling for 4th with Mississippi State had they been in the West
3- Their record vs. the superior West: 1-2
4- They lost to Kentucky. Kentucky.
5- They lost at home to Arkansas by 3 TDs
6- They beat the mighty Commodores and Volunteers by 14 points each
7- They have 3 losses there, son
8- They beat Alabama. Woot. Alabama is overrated.

Oh, and a note on Auburn. ls it just me or does it seem like they play every single game of any significance at home?? I want to see them perform on the road. If they go into Tuscaloosa and win, I'm sold. Until then, the jury's out.

They aren't that weak. There is a lotta parity there. Kentucky played Miss, Auburn and Miss State close. Hartline is a good QB and the Cats have one of the best LBs in the nation, in Trevathan. That's Kentucky. AFA the Gamecocks, Spurrier has coached them well. Arkansas is the only team to handily defeat them. Lattimore is one of the best rushers in the nation when the line does its job.

yes Auburn's most important games this year have been home games. i hope they can prove to be a road team.
Cal just can't get a break the where going to go ahead when the kicker false starts then said kicker overcompensates and pulls it right from the left hash. had he made that cal would have led 16-15.

Sorry, but in case you haven't noticed, the reason the SEC is unanimously hailed as the best conference in the entire country has nothing to do with the fact that they've won the last FOUR National Championships, but rather due to the fact that of the 12 teams, 11 are capable of beating you on any given week (if you weren't aware, of the previous 4 National Champions, 3 of them had losses, and one of them had TWO losses, and one of those two losses came to Kentucky. Kentucky:D).

:1orglaugh you bastard.

The Irish beat a ranked team today for the first time since 2005 (I think). Seriously we were something like 0-14 against ranked teams. And we actually looked good - the 2nd string quarterback made some really amazing passes.

Fun day overall. The top 5 seemed to cement themselves in place...

Not at all, 'Mega. Texas has been in trouble since September and I picked 'em to lose to OSU this week anyway so no angst there. In fact, I hope they keep losing so Greg Davis gets fired. :D
