True, but Nebraska was in the Big 12 title game a couple of years ago, and then fell off the map. Why should I believe this will be any different?

Because that was the end of the Osborne/Solich era. They went through Callahan after that and he wasn't the answer so now they have Pelini.

They went through about a 10 year downturn before decades of success under Devaney and Osborne.

It happens. Good programs don't stand pat with mediocrity though. It happened with Texas before Mack Brown.:dunno:

It's happening with Michigan right now. If RR doesn't get Michigan's shit together this season and turn the corner...his ass is gone and we'll try it again with another coach until we get back to winning the way we're accustomed.

I thought Bill Callahan was the coach in 2006 when Nebraska went to the Big 12 title game?

I guess we'll have to agree to disagree. I just need to see more consistency from Nebraska before I say they're going to be an elite program again.

It is official, and I will brook no argument.

1. Reggie Bush is a pathetic scumbag.

2. Pete Carroll is an arrogant, fraudulent turd.

They should both be erased from the annals of U.S.C. lore....

hmmmm, apparently Arkansas was interested in getting back into a conference with their former longhorned rivals

That has Jerry Jones written allllll over it IMO.:1orglaugh

He would love to see his alma mater playing in the gorgeous bit of architecture he's paid (or paying) for in Dallas.

I've been to that thing and it is really awesome and though big..not as big as Jerry Jones' ego.

I could totally see him trying to influence Arkansas' admittance to the "Big XII".

good point mega. i can totally see mister jones pushing that agenda so his alma mater can come to jerry land!

why would Arkansas leave the SEC for the BIG12. the money split would be bad for them. and other than Basketball the SEC is a better conference top to bottom.now if Jerry Jones personally makes up the money difference and you get that in writing than sure.
