Steve Lavin is doing one hell of a job this year - college basketball in Manhattan is defintely making a comeback.

Not really, turtle....it actually goes perfectly with the script. I'm not even that surprised it was a shit team like Nebraska....although even losing a game of nine-ball to the 'Huskers would go up up my ass since I hate them so much.
Texas is what they are and we'll find that out in March.

Wow, even my biased prognostication fell far short of the Purdue E'Twauns final margin of victory. This was a great win for the Boilers, but it just proves that the top Big Ten teams are going to hold serve on their home court. You're just not going to walk into Columbus, Madison, or West Lafayette and pull out a W.
I still think the Bucks are the better team. They'd probably get the best of us on a neutral court. It took a superb effort by E'Twaun to make this one possible. He was in rare form this afternoon. TOSU had no answer for him just as we had no answer for Sullinger. By the way, I really hope he decides to go pro.
Painter is certainly making his bid for COTY in the conference. I keep coming back to how great this team would be with #4 in the lineup.

I have to give credit to Holy Family sophomore Matt Kravchuk on standing up to the suspended HF coach John O'Connor on Good Morning America today. I do find it rather awkward that O'Connor didn't apologize Kravchuk to his face on GMA until George Stephanopoulos encouraged him to do so, and yet he still implies he just wants to make a better team.
It's certainly a bad situation that every athletic department wants to avoid.

Another key game in the Missouri Valley tomorrow between Wichita St. and Missouri St. - in which this showdown will decide the Missouri Valley's regular-season winner.
I think this is the year Missouri St. finally gets over the hump on punching their tickets to the big dance after a 12-year absence. The '06 tourney sub probably still stings on the Mizz St. hoops program (it still doesn't make sense to me on why a team who tied for 2nd in the loaded MVC with an RPI of 21 was left out), and the Bears will be looking for some major redemption from the Big Dance committee in the final stretch of the MVC season.
