As expected, the women's hoops game featuring #2 Baylor at #1 UConn was a dandy of a game to watch. Congrats to the UConn women on bumping their winning streak to 80 games, though I am still puzzled on how that game ended - I think Baylor got screwed on UConn's last possession; there should've been a shot clock violation whistled, thus giving the Bears a chance to set up a play to hit the game winner at the end.

Well, it looks like my Boilers aren't the only overrated basketball program in the state of Indiana. Cards are handing it to Butler right now.

Go Louisville!

If Michigan State wants to win the Maui invitational next week, they're gonna have to play better than they did against South Carolina - hitting only 50% of your free throws on 34 attempts and committing 19 turnovers certainly won't net you too many wins in a loaded schedule that MSU has this year.

Not overly impressive, but a good team win for the Spartans. I'm concerned about our TO problems. The Bucks had a more impressive night. Good rebounding night for Green.

With an outstanding preformance Jared Sullinger put up against Florida last night, there's no doubt in my mind that he will give UNC wingman Harrison Barnes a run for his money when it will come down to the Naismith College Player of the Year Award. For spectacular basketball talents such as Barnes and Sullinger, there is no need for the usual adjustment period for these guys.

Plus look at their schedule. These guys should roll for a very long time.

Damn, Purdue looked good tonight. At one point the score was 73-17 (103-48 final). Granted, it was Alcorn State, but it was great to see the Boilermakers put some points on the board. Carrol, Marcius, Barlow, Byrd, and Jackson still need to step it up. E'Twaun and JJ can't win every game on their own.

My Sooners won in overtime to beat North Carolina........................... Central!? :dunno:

Looks like another awful year in basketball for Boomer Sooner.

I was really impressed with Texas forward Tristan Thompson's performance against Illinois last night (20 pts., 9 rebs., and 6 blks) and now suddenly, he seems to have whatever it is that makes great players great. Let's see if Thompson and the Longhorns can pull out another victory against #4 Pitt tonight.
