2008/2009 Fantasy Premier League

A little tip for anyone who cares..

Man Utd (boo hiss) are playing twice in the next game-week.. ideal opportunity to get double 'captain' points, if you happen to have a united player as captain.(depending on how good thay play, of course) :hatsoff:

Ronaldo's my captain this week and Arteta has just scored me a penalty...Good times :thefinger

I had Lampard as captain, and I also had an accumulator bet on and would have won 70 quid if fucking Chelsea had not drawn at HOME to HULL!!!

I think you might take top spot this week TT with Man Utd playing twice. I wish I had of noticed that before kick off as I would have put a Man U player as capt.

My plan worked perfectly..

Muhahahahahaa..
Muhahahahahaaaa...

Looks like im shafted this week. I have 3 Man U players (keeper.defender.forward) and 1 Fulham player (defender) in my starting XI and neither team plays this week, my sub keeper is Fulham, my sub forward is Fulham. Bosingwa is suspended and my sub defender is out for the rest of the season  Looks like I could be losing ground in both leagues :(

Why oh why did I not have Arsharvin as my captain I might even be back in top spot if I had. Thats been my main problem this season, I aint picked the correct captain all sesaon :mad::mad:

I actually checked into this for the first time in ages...totally forgot about it. I made some changes last week. Pretty much my last ditch attempt at trying to beat HE WHO SHALL NOT BE NAMED (though two letters in his name are OX )

Well, everythings going great for me..

I'm right up there in mid-table :helpme:

Its a dilemma for me as Mr TT has Ronaldo and i dont but I have Ronaldo in my dream team in the Sun newspaper and im doing well but its tight at the top of the league in that as well as this

I must admit I was pretty lucky this week with that dodgy penalty for Ronaldo, and with Lescott being
off - Olsson will replace him who scored against the Mackems yesterday.

Figueroa plays today and Crouch plays Newcastle on Sunday :)

Well I got Lescott who didnt play and i have no sub defenders fit, I have Crouch, Arsharvin and Walcott playing today. I think you are in the driving seat for the Championship mate.

It's looking like it at the moment, but there still a few weeks to go yet ;)

Just wanted to throw out this question..

How many of you are annoyed at the way the 'subs' bench is used?

I find it very annoying to find other teams getting higher team-points totals after the automatic substitutions have been made.
Game players are being rewarded for NOT picking their best players in their first 11

Participants should pick a team of 11 players and that should be frozen for the gameweek.. good or bad.
If they find that some of their players don't play, or don't perform, then that is just bad luck and down to their lack of 'management' skill, for not picking a good first 11.

I am fed up with finding my team ahead on points (head-to-head), only to find later that I have been beaten by someones 'subs-bench'
If participants don't have the skill to pick the best 11 players from what they have got, then that should be their hard-luck.

I still see the need for a subs bench, but only to swap around players pre-gameweek..
Once the gameweek has started, all substitutes should remain as so.

I have contacted the game organisers, to ask if they would consider changing the current system.

What do the rest of you think..?:dunno:
