2,500 people's car

they need to make those here. I need a car but I don't want a car payment

I'm waiting, but the government says we need more Hummers that get the oversized farm vehicle rebate of $35,000.

Like with the Honda "City", as long as they promote megalith sales and gas guzzlers to help oil companies, they won't allow the most fuel efficient cars on US roads for various reasons.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Honda_City#Fuel_Consumption
The 2005 face-lifted Honda City i-DSI achieved an impressive 26.2km per liter of fuel consumption during a challenge in June 2007.[2] The challenge requires the vehicle to be occupied by 4 persons (including the driver), air conditioning being switched on and a load of luggage. The whole route stretched more than 660km that consists of not only highway driving but also hill climbing.

Successful independent university and private research has fueled electric vehicle development producing prototypes that can do 60mph in 6 seconds and travel over 200 miles. Washington completely avoids the subject, and so individual politicians, (public servents), check their oil company portfolios.

Slowhand this response is really not directed at you but at a way of thinking that is common.Go back to my earlier response and ask yourselfs this.Would it really be a good thing if every adult in the world had a car? I know they all want them but how long could the enviorment survive such a situation I wonder.

Well you do have a good point there Friday on my mi but I'm sure not everyone would rush out and buy one just because its cheap. As you can see the size of it not to many people would go that way. and the environment would not survive if there was a lot of them out on the road.

Would it pass the safety standards required for USA or Europe? A car I used to drive in Malaysia never sold in the Europe for this reason. Also, how does it compare environmentally with similar cars?

I would be more than happy to use a bicycle most of the time if it was practical or public transportation if it existed and was safe, but I'm probably like a lot of people where a car is, sadly, the only realistic option.
