I don't think Nobama or crazy Uncle Joe are making kids gay but they are making them intolerant towards anyone with a difference in opinion. My idiot nephew, who I will for the sake of anonymity call Eeron, was listening to my brother Sem (also protecting his identity) calmly discussing Nobamacare, the bailouts, and Nobama's shady background and associations with assholes. Eeron interrupted me mid-rant and asked "are you a racist?" I was dumbfounded because race had never even been mentioned. I asked where he got the idea that dissenting is equated with racism. He said his fucking teachers, for the most part, had stated that all Republicans and conservatives are racist and he distilled that thought to include anyone who disagrees with Dear Leader. I'm pretty sure my brother fostered that rationale but it's the best weapon the liberals have in their arsenal of hypocrisy.

The child is being steered in a very poisonous direction. He makes no points of merit and would be put into his place in open debate. Worm everyone in this country has a right to make their own choices without your bigotry or religious slant getting in the way. Freedom is the right to do as you see fit even if it offends or pisses someone else off.

No, he is not being pointing into a liberal direction. Therefore, he is not being steered into a poisonous direction.

Yes. Lots of Christians do this, and shouldn't. And lots of Christians don't do that, and lead by example. And there are shades on both sides and in the middle. Lumping all Christians in to one category is simply stupid. Don't make rash generalisations like that. Be thankful for the Christians that lead by example, and don't cram any agenda or politics down your throat. I was just reminded the Mr. Rogers was actually an ordained Pastor, and a very devout Christian. You didn't get that from his show, however, and generations of people - Christians, Atheists, Muslims, Agnostics, etc. etc. - benefited from his perspective, his kindness, and his generous spirit.
There are many Christians like this. Saying that all Christians are racists and bigots is like saying all Atheists kill babies. Just stupid.
Someone please comb carefully through his posts and find an example.

I didn't postulate that all Christians do it, nor was that my implication. However, I think it's fair to point out that bigots and racists do in fact use the bible to justify their beliefs particularly in light of the following-
