The blank thumbs are a really weird bug from all the photo galleries that were created in January of this year that cropped up after a change to our media storage the other week. We've been playing wack a mole with it. Trust me, we fully realize you're not the only one that has this perception...

You can get the same result of the old predictive text on the old site by using the type selector in the search. So for example, go and select babes. Then it starts giving search suggestions. Maybe that will help you out a little.
