Let's Play War in Iraq Again!

Sorry but that's a cop-out. These senators had the same information that the ones who voted for the resolution did and yet they found the courage and wisdom to vote against it (including a republican!) so how difficult could it have really been? http://www.democrats.com/node/6890

Let's Play War in Iraq Again!

Better make sure you've got plenty of room on those tanks for these democratic senators who voted for the resolution to use ***** in Iraq back in 2002 if you want to play the partisan blame-game. By the way, one of them is the sitting VP and another the front-running presidential candidate for...

Do You Believe in American Exceptionalism?

I do believe in American Exceptionalism. What I don't believe in is American Imperialism as a divine right that extends from American Exceptionalism. Au contraire, it is a golden opportunity for us to set a glowing example for the rest of the world to follow as we promote a peaceful...

Can anybody get "Old English" Upper Case Font, the Alphabet on there Keyboard?

Not quite sure why you are so anxious to do this but you can easily download a wide variety of Old English fonts into Windows and then use them in MS Office. However, you cannot use them here or anywhere else to the best of my knowledge unless they are programmed to support them to begin with...

Let's Play War in Iraq Again!

What a joke. If Obama and our dipshit congress had any brains they'd let these fucks destroy themselves in the manner that they so richly deserve. I don't give a flying fuck about Iraq....it isn't worth a single American (or any other nationality) life. Oil and money continue to be the most...

Great research. Too bad NASA's funding has been cut off for the most part. Obama and our idiot congress would rather spend our tax money on wars and **** than to continue to fund a way to reach for the stars. Now it looks like we are going back into a totally fucked Iraq so I don't see...

GOP eating its own: Rep. Eric Cantor loses in VA primary contest to a teabagger

What a bunch of brats! Let's keep seeing the republicans gravitate to the extreme right. I hope Ted Cruz is their nominee for prez in 2016! Not that I necessarily want Hillary to win....it's just that the republicans are running so far off the charts as to even be relevant...

Miller wants to to go to California from what I am hearing. I'm not too sure that he has any leverage after his lackluster performance in this year's playoffs. Still, he is Ryan Miller so somebody will probably take a run at him. It sure won't be the Blues! My guess is he ends up in Anaheim...

    NHL '14/'15 Thread

My Blues have two very obvious needs. The first is a top-tier goaltender who can play on a reasonably-close level with guys like Lundqvist, Quick and Rask. Ryan Miller obviously wasn't the answer (if only we had gone after Gaborik instead!). Maybe Jake Allen is. He was the AHL goaltender of...

OK, so the Kings win the Cup. Hooray for them!! Now all of the losers can start thinking about next year. What do some of these teams that are oh-so-close need to do to take the next step to compete with a team Like LA? How about your team? Let the conjecture begin. Training camp opens in...

Yep. No doubt about that one. Congrats to the Kings for winning their second Cup in 3 years. No reason for the Rangers to hang their heads....they just ran up against a better team. Helluva game....terrific season.

    NHL'13/'14 Thread

Much better period in the OT but the Kings still had the advantage by a wide margin. Lundqvist has been INCREDIBLE....some of the best clutch goaltender I have seen in a long, long time. Kreider had a chance to win it in the last minute on the breakaway but air-mailed it when Quick went down...

A horseshit call against Zucarello led to the tying goal (you just don't make a call like that in the what might be the last game of the Stanley Cup finals when there's incidental contact) but the Kings have been all over the Rangers the entire 3rd period so maybe it really doesn't matter...

Boston could beat several top West teams but they would have zero chance against the Kings (or the Hawks). That's the point I was trying to make. Against the Blues, Sharks, Ducks or Wild I would give them at least an even chance. After the Bruins (and now, for the time being, the Rangers)...

SOG are one of the most deceiving stats in sports. It just didn't seem like the Rangers were as up for this game as they should have been. Their energy level seemed higher in games 1 and 2 to me. Only Zuccarello seemed to have a spark. I'm certainly not making excuses....the Kings are...

Wow....that was not the effort I expected from the Rangers. Looks like they were mentally defeated going into the game. LA totally dominated. Unless there is some sort of miracle in store (I think not), this won't go past game 4. The Kings are quite obviously the better team, the Rangers...

The Kings definitely have the physical advantage but that can be said when you compare them to just about any other team in the NHL. They play a bruising, wear-you-down style along with solid defense and very stout goaltending so, hell yeah, they present a formidable *****. The Rangers only...

Overall, Lundqvist's stats are better than Richter's but, since Richter is perhaps one of the greatest American-born goaltenders of all time, he probably has a higher standard to live up to to gain the type of reverence that Richter achieved. The key to changing this series is all the result of Coach Q shaking up the lines. Toews' line totally shut down Kopitar's crew and the Saad-Kane-Shaw line has produced great scoring results.
