Just some fun here, and maybe someone will know who this is too! Here's an idea that will put "Hooters" restaurant out of business:D BURGER QUEEN ! (several pics follow)

In my case, these are files that already are in my "Pictures" file. It's true of any of them that are too big for posting. I need to eliminate some of the bytes from them... reduce resolution... I'm trying the stretch/skew trick, but like I said, it doesn't change the files properties, only...

Tried that--- see if you can... The problem is the file size and resolution come up unchanged in Paint... only the screen area shrinks. :confused:

In this case, we're talking about posting here--- we are linited at 150,000 bytes... if an image is at 195,000b , how would you take it down to 150,000 or lower? Without any Photoshop?

OK, I've tested that ---using stretch/skew... I did reduce the apparent size of an image, but the # of bytes didn't change... what did I not do?

PS: I also don't get why if I try using "Paint", and cut some segment of the image away, it shoud be deleting it-- but afterward the #of bytes and the dimensions stay the same. How can that be, if I have eliminated some percentage of the image ?? Is there some trick I don't know about ?

As mentioned in another thread, I don't currently have any Photoshop programs--- could you do a file size reduction (not using any compression or zip tricks ) with just what's in Windows? Starting with a file saved in Picture/Fax Viewer , and the only editing option seems to be "Paint"...

ok,thanks... but could I do this without any Photoshop programs? We're talking about items in a Windows Pictures folder,and the only thing that looks like you could use to change image quality is "Paint". Or is it not possible that way?

Like I was saying above, I've had these a while, gathered from different sources before I was a member here...all i can recall is they're mostly from "usenet" -type sites, or other free gallery sites.... you know the kind that lets you see portions of galleries. By the way, does anyone know how...
