If you want more foodie books, I'd recommend Michael Ruhlmans "The Making of a Chef" & "The Soul of a Chef" - he's buddies with Bourdain, but has a different writing style. Also, Bill Bufords book "Heat" is excellent, as well.

Start with "Miami Blues", it's the first in the series.

I'm currently reading Ed Sanders book "Fug You: An Informal History of the Peace Eye Bookstore, the Fuck You Press, the Fugs, and Counterculture in the Lower East Side" which I'm enjoying. Tautological phrases bother me, such as when someone says "ATM machine" - the 'M' in ATM stands for 'Machine', so they are essentially saying "Automated Teller Machine Machine." Other phrases that I hear ****** in that manner are "SAT test" and "PIN number" and they all kind of grate on me.
