A humble thanks for the rep, my friend. May you and your ****** find some consolation in the fact that so many care about your loss and pray for your ability to move on as Don would so obviously want you to. He sounds like he was a very remarkable man. I would have liked to have met him...

The Cubs keep on adding to their pitching staff by signing ex-Cardinal closer Jason Motte to a $4.5 million contract. It's a high-risk, high-reward situation with Motte coming off Tommy John surgery last year. He never regained his velocity after his rehab and Trevor Rosenthal firmly...

Quite possibly the best man I've ever known.

Deepest condolences, Ace. I lost my ****** in October so I am keenly aware of your feelings right now. Mourning is good....it honors those who have departed and helps those who are left find a way to move on. May he rest in peace.

Elizabeth Warren's Star Rises Amid Confrontation

I don't want Clinton either but what if the republican nominee is Ted Cruz? Choice between the lesser of two serious evils at that point. Is there a republican out there who would be an acceptable alternative to Clinton? Is there anyone who can really mount a serious challenge to Hillary if...

    2014/15 NCAA Football Bowl Challenge

To avoid any attempt at avoiding transparency, I'd strongly suggest that all picks be posted here for all to see. Usually, we just copy Rodger's list, paste it into a new post and highlight the winners....lazy fucks that we are by nature!

Not to seem petty Robert but they didn't sign John Mabry Jr., they signed John Mayberry Jr. John Mabry is the Cardinals' batting coach. No small signing BTW....Mayberry hits the **** out of lefthanded pitching. Nice pickup for $1.45 million.

Gas Prices Drop Even Though We Voted For Obama

OK, I'll concede that opposition to gay marriage isn't exclusive to "old, white rural whites" (a bad stereotype, sorry). So what? I too will apologize to the OP for hijacking the thread in this direction so I'll simply say that it is a fact that blacks, Hispanics and the LGBT crowd...

Gas Prices Drop Even Though We Voted For Obama

Dude, I just admitted to you that I myself, who most on this board would likely describe as a flaming liberal, have conservative viewpoints on many issues. And it wasn't the "liberal" base that sunk gay marriage as it applies to the black voters who were against the proposition, it was a...

Gas Prices Drop Even Though We Voted For Obama

Allow me to clarify this for you. I am not singling out republicans....I am singling out conservatives regarding social issues. The bloc of black voters who voted against the proposition aren't liberals on that issue, they are conservatives.

"Licence to discriminate" bill soon to be ****** in Michigan

No, they aren't. They are equals and should be treated as such without exception. Johan is correct....the 14th amendment guarantees these rights under the constitution and is the justification for all civil rights legislation that has been enacted since. If you want to be able to discriminate...

Yes....and as in gay rights in general. I forgot to mention women as well so add them to the exclusion list I already submitted (even though you can find plenty of women who are conservative). I never referred to Obama as the paragon of liberal ideals (he most certainly isn't in fact) so you...
