They've been getting some good pitching too. I think they went 20 straight games with the starters going 6+ innings giving up 3 or fewer runs. Their bullpen has settled down too. They still have to catch the Yankees & Baltimore is lurking.

Aug 11, 2015 ALL 15 home teams won. First time in history that has happened. I checked the NL standings yesterday. I think only 3 teams had winning records against the NL Central. That is a tough division. Cubs, Cards, Pirates all deserve to be in the playoffs.

The answer is Rick Langford of the Oakland A's. Billy Martin wore that staff out. A great example of what NOT to do to a pitching staff. The only reason I knew about this streak is that 1 of our local sports stations did a special on him. Langford is a roving pitching instructor for the Jays.
