Depends on the games at launch. The PS2 is the only console I've ever bought day 1, I usually wait a year because the launch games usually suck. I'd be very surprised if GTA 6 was announced as a launch title.

This is probably not possible in the PS3 version.

I don't know if they had changed it on the PS3 version, but it used to be that when you infused a higher level gear piece into your lower level gear, it would only go up to a level inbetween the two gear pieces. An example, infusing a 210 helmet into your 200 helmet and it comes out 204 instead...
