Thanks for the rep! I was first attracted to "Melancholia" after seeing the Kirsten Dunst poster on the underground, on my way to work, and tbh, it haunted me. Decided to see the movie after someone else recommended it on another forum.
As I stated elsewhere, imo it is a difficult film to love (esp, since it lasts over 2 hours). But if you want a thought-provoking study of despair in the face of the Apocalypse, then give "Melancholia" a chance.
PS: Dunst's nude scene - definitely not gratuitous.
