    Glad to hear you're doing fairly well overall. Hope things work out for you in the job market, and your kidney stops giving you problems. I can relate to the whole health and job issues thing.....believe me! UGH!!!!!! I'm planning on moving at the end of winter, and I'm not sure if I'll get back to work before that or not. One thing's for sure, I definitely need to get back to work.....and soon.....but only in a job with GREAT benefits.....given my health issues and all, I can't work if the job doesn't provide great health benefits......I get free care while I'm not working, and I can afford my GREATLY discounted medicines (like $8 for something that would cost more than $300 for one Rx alone), so yeah, I can definitely relate my friend! Keep your chin up, and hope for the best.....believe me, I will be doing the same for you!

    I bet you are quite the good cook - it seems to be becoming a lost art in the fast food world, but some of us still like working over an oven, at least for a brief period. I made some pasta sauce from items I got at the farmer's market that is quite remarkable!
    Yeah, sometimes it seems as if dirk isn't even trying to lurk anymore. A couple of days ago, I found him trying to hide behind a lamp that was on the floor. It was a table lamp. Sigh.
    I would say that I know what it is like starting over, but I've been on the same job for the last 10 years (also known as a rut), and had worked my previous for 8 years before that. But I hope you can do it - has to be particularly tough, with the kids. And it really sucks when the government can a lot of times take care of its people better than many companies can, especially people with families - but that is a rant in itself.

    Oh, no. I am not at all the stalking type. I'm pretty much the oaf type who would be found in a second. And I would NOT eat the food that dirk does not eat...who knows what he did to it and where it has been. Come to think of it, my carrots and bananas have been...oh man!
    What kind of job are you looking for, out of curiosity?

    It sounds like it...I did a quick lurking on gunslinger's and your's conversation. Really, it sounds like it will be for the better - too often, it takes a while before people's true colors show.
    And you should not sell yourself short. Some guys actually do like kids - and having a pre-grown family (for want of a better phrase) is what they seek. Plus, you do seem to have some brains in your head, as well as a personality, along with your other rather obvious positive traits. Those can get you pretty far in this world.

    That sucks...but a change can do a body good. There have been quite a few times when I deem a change is needed in my life...but never seems to happen.
    Right now, I am having the joy of listening to my hillbilly neighbors argue down the hall.
