And about the whole "representative, parlamentary government" thing you may be wishing for, I sincerely doubt it'll be any better than the system you already have over there. It may even be worse - all governments are basically the same after all. It's far less exciting too , I mean Gordon Brown isn't going to give speeches to thousands of screaming fans. He would most likely to get egged by a couple back benchers on his way out to the podium if he even attempted to.

I know of the show and its predecessor "Yes, Minister" but I cannot say that I've watched either of them. I should have by now, but I just never got around to it. But if it has the lurkingdirk seal of approval then I'll bite.

One fact I do know about it, is that it was Margaret Thatcher's favourite show.

The BMW would have to be an awesome tourer, I'm thinking for my next bike go for something more like that (less sports and more touring). Yeah you'd think the wife would love the maths, but, I'm starting to suspect she doesn't like bikes (at least me having one), there's always something that comes up that ends up with me not getting a bike. I think the only option is to go behind her back and tell her about it after the fact. That's going to be a fun conversation.
