No, it was just my day to work. Since we're a bit shortstaffed, it wouldn't be fair for me to chicken out and have someone else come in on their day off to fill in for me. So I just grinned and beared it. If conditions had been much worse, they said they would've closed down the office anyways ... which is good to know for the future.

Back to college ... *wistful sigh* Enjoy it while it lasts, my friend. I would give just about anything to go back in time and experience college again -- minus the classes, papers and tests, of course. :1orglaugh Hope you're having fun so far. If your school's opening weekends were anything like mine ... well, actually, I have a hard time remembering those weekends from all the drinking and "smoking." :rofl2:

Driving in the storm sucked. It was white-knuckle, heart-in-your-throat, slow going the whole way. Visibility was poor, the rain was hitting my car so hard it sounded like an animal roaring, and I nearly hydroplaned a couple times in giant puddles. And it's my understanding that the worst of the storm was OVER before I even hit the road. If that's true, I do NOT ever want to experience a worse storm. If it had been that bad, I would've called my boss and told him to get bent! Gosh, and I thought driving in snowstorms was bad ...

Pretty good, thanks for asking! I'm just glad I survived Tropical Storm Irene -- I had to drive to work about 40 miles in that friggin' storm!!

Got back from my mum's house a little while ago and will be working tomorrow, but I have Labor Day off so me and some friends are having a BBQ and video game fest -- with drinks of course. Should be a blast!

Nice, haha. Yeah, this guy was just not right in the head. For example, last month, when it was dangerously hot out, he was out there all day in black long sleeves and pants, red as a lobster, talking to himself. Well, not so much to himself, but to the person he seemed to think was there. I would overhear him referring to himself in 3rd person. "You can't fuck with Terry...You can't fuck with Terry" was a popular line I kept hearing him say. I originally just thought he was weird because he was a Jesus freak, but he got crazier every day.
