R.I.P. Billy Glide

Found out about his passing from someone I never knew was a mutual friend until the mutual friend posted something on his Facebook page. Guess "Billy" helped a friend move Saturday. The friend's pet rattlesnake (NEVER a good idea for a pet) bit Billy. Billy didn't get any treatment and went to ***** Saturday Night and never woke up. Dude was a legend in the Biz and for a guy to have a career like his says something about the guy. Everything I have seen posted about him says what a great guy he is. Sad. And sadder because very preventable. I know health insurance is something not many in the industry have - wonder if he was w/o it, too? Sad to see him pass and pass like this:

AVN has also learned that Glide was scheduled to shoot a scene Sunday morning for Spizoo.com. A rep for the site said the Spizoo crew was informed early Sunday about Glide's passing.

Billy Glide Didn't Die From A Snakebite

As soon as the story went up there were some things that didn't ring true to me. First a rattlesnake bite isnt usually fatal in an adult, it can be, but in general it is extremely painful with the poison creating violent symptoms including nausea, it’s unlikely anyone would *****.

I also started hearing that the story wasn't correct that Billy had died from a **** overdose, specifically GHB and ******* but others may have been involved.

Billy had been on a downward spiral for a while.

It has been confirmed now that the cause of death was an overdose, it is unclear if it was intentional but it it is believed that it was not.

In the end it doesn't matter much except that it changes the nature of his death and of the story, Billy was well liked and he will be missed.

It isn't unusual for aging male pornstars to fall into depression and substance *****, one day you are on top of the business and in a few years you start to slide, and all too soon you are a once was. You find that to people inside porn you are “getting too old” and to people outside porn you are damaged goods and sadly the support system inside porn usually involves substance *****.

Can we get a secondary confirmation of this? From another source other than Mike South?

Because to blame depression, alcoholism and **** and substance ***** is just a cop out and it's irresponsible reporting.

If the statement about substance ***** is untrue; it shouldn't have been written.

My wife was a fan, i don't care about the men in the scenes i watch but i didn't find him that annoying and the women seemed to like him. he gave some good answers on a reddit chat seemed a good person. RIP Billy.

Out of a large number of male talent in the industry there are many which are easy to dislike, but Billy was somebody that I never had a problem with.

I don't really buy the snake bite stuff myself, but either way it has to suck going out like that.
