Republicans can't think of anything to do!

That's right, with only 18 work days left in this year, the party that says everything is wrong yet somehow inexplicably does nothing to fix it has taken a look around and said "welp, nothing left to do here!" and are talking about cancelling some of their 18, count them, 18 remaining work days for this year.
Despite the fact that the republican party published its own report after getting stomped in 2012 that said they really need to focus on immigration reform, and the senate ****** immigration reform in June, the house says there's no way they could possibly achieve 1 thing in the rest of this year, so they'll stick to renaming post offices, because that's the only thing the 113th congress has been able to do without fucking our economy.

Thanks assholes!

Hey folks, it's reelection season. Don't ask them to do anything now. Wait till they get reelected. Then they will have plenty of time to do nothing.

It's not reelection season. The midterms are a year away. A season is not a year. Want me to vote for you? Show me you can accomplish something worthwhile, regardless of season.

Republicans need to put the breaks on their symbolic nonsense and get back to basics. Until they do, I can't stand to listen to them.

Focus on what they have done in the past that worked and ditching what didn't. In the 1980's they were able to increase tax revenues by 60%. GDP grew, unemployment while spiking for a short time, dropped. This is what worked for them. What didn't work was increasing spending astronomically.

Instead of obsessively focusing on trying to stop Obama at every turn, they should be trying to get back to basics on what works and what doesn't. I know it is popular to paint the picture that "Reagonomics" didn't work, but that is a half truth and typically not a well throughout one (I've seen a good analysis to the contrary, but not on here). You can't look at only the metrics that happen to tell you the story you want to hear.

The parts that Reagan got wrong, Bush (41) and Clinton tended to get right.

What confounds me is that we are not on the most solid ground that we have ever been on. So, why are we spending time on anything other than improving the economic situation. Probably a naive comment on my part, but 20-30 years ago these were not mental giants who were able to focus on trying to put the right things in place that worked while dealing with the politics.

Weight it as makes you feel better about yourself, but the President and both houses are failures.
