....feel free to rejoice because I'm in a shitload of pain, and it ain't going away anytime soon.
I ***** on my side(s) a lot. A couple weeks ago I got up with a twinge under my shoulderblade. Of course, it's just a thing and it'll go away. Nope. Apparently I've got a nerve back there all kinds of jammed up. It started in the shoulderblade and has worked up my right arm. So my shoulder is fucked, my right forearm feels like it's caught in a vice (very, very uncomfortably) and I keep losing feeling in one or more fingers.
Of course, this happened right in time for the biggest poker dealing gig of the year, I start a second job in a week....and this **** will not loosen up and go away. If you're a poker player, or have watched on TV, watch how the dealer pitches the cards without moving their arm. Having feeling in your fingers is a crucial element in this maneuver.
I hired one of the roving masseusses for 20 minutes of excruciating agony, came home, took Aleve (twice), put an ice pack on it for 20 minutes.....and nothing has changed. I thought the massage would at least get me started. It really didn't change anything.
Luckily it hasn't noticably fucked up my dealing...yet. But I can notice that I'm sloppier than usual, even if my players can't. Hopefully a couple more 20 minute massages will eventually help. If not I may have to go the medical route and I am just dreading the **** out of that.
