Will someone plz explain REP to me?

Rep is just members giving other members props for good posts.

To check your own rep it's under the Settings part of the profile (not sure why it's under the Settings part; that's never made sense to me but I can't voice that opinion unless I want another strapon up my ass)

You can give others Rep by selecting the 'star' or the sheriff's badge looking icon on the bottom left of their post

You can also negative rep them for being douchers

anyway yes, rep is just a way to show appreciation (or dislike) for a post...the higher number the more people have liked what you've had to say or show off

check it by clicking settings up in your user control area

Kind of like the FB like button, except some members don't use it just to say good/bad post. Some use it to say hello, some think that it represents the size of their dick, and others use it to leave a comment vs. just using the PM system.

In fact, we're getting very close to the anniversary of the great rep incident where we had regular members actually leave the board when they were told that we were resetting everyone's rep to 0 again. On April 1st. Mind, I set that one up very well...

Oh. And I'm sure lurkingdirk will chime in about rep at some point. Just ignore whatever he has to say about me and my thoughts on reputation. He has negative rep (his little bars below his name are red) and his bum is still a little tender from when I gave it to him.

You can see other peoples' rep right below their post count. I can see right now that yours is 323.

Somehow, when I first started posting around on here when I joined, I had like 1,000-some rep points. Or maybe it was 8,000-some. I can't remember how much, I just know that it was a lot. I don't know where they came from! Maybe people repped the **** out of me before I really started posting and exploring the board. I didn't start regularly posting until a couple months after I joined.

It's called kissing ass. People did it to me too until I turned off rep for admins so I could watch Roald cry.
