Texas man, in prison almost 25 years, found innocent

That is just another example of what is wrong with the judicial system in the United States. Instead of being a search for the truth, it's nothing more than a game that is all about winning, regardless of the facts. Couple the fact that many of the players, such as District Attorneys & judges, are elected officials......it becomes all about convictions. So, at the end of the day, all they care about is winning and securing yet another conviction....and they can never admit that they made a mistake, unintentional, or otherwise, because to do so would call into question every case they ever dealt with. :2 cents:

Major Crimes? Shiiiit.
No amount of money can replace those years. When you take into account that 25 years is about a third of your life (approximate average) and time along with health is all that human's really have. Who can compensate 25 years lost? Being innocent and in prison for that long can make a person crazy. This story reminds me of what happened to Andy Dufresne in Shawshank Redemption. I read about how the case unfolded, his lawyer if still practicing should be disbarred for incompetance. A total clusterfuck!

...and isn't he owed a lot more than just his release?

I mean, he missed the birth of ****** members: sons, *********, nieces, nephews, etc. He missed out on the deaths of loved ones. 25 damn years.

He missed Christmas, New Years, and any other widely celebrated ****** holidays for 25 fucking years... and he should not have had to. 25 years of pondering what could have been. I feel like he should be compensated big time. We compensate those with horseshit lawsuits thousands and sometimes millions of damn dollars. This man is owed. Though you cannot give him what he deserves, time, but he should get something to make his new life better.

I think the D.A. and prosecuting attorney should be his servant for 25 years. Fucking judicial systme. They take our lives and play games so they can use favors for this important business man or that elected official. I **** how corrupt our system has become. There is no honor, respect or moral left in any of these systems any more.

I heard that as much as 50% prisoner are innocent but it is said that it can be near 80%. How many are innocent no one know but one thing is for sure when it you in jail you rethink the death penalty but then it to late. I would think about that now not later.

I'm just shocked he wasn't black :surprise:
