crazy liberals destroy the world!

sorry, I don't have the link. You'll have to get it from stampede. ;)

that was just a joke, buddy.

I like discussing politics just about as much as any other insane fucking person, but does it seem like we are getting a ton of really downer threads lately?

I think I can't take it anymore, this is getting too depressing. I'm going to go start a "who would you fuck with whose dick, and how big is it?" thread.

I've been preparing for this since November, got stocked up on *******, tobacco, and firearms. Who's bringing the chips?

That's what worries me, there's gotta be a disturbing number of well armed right wing nutcases just dusting off the second amendment and waiting for civil war.

Don't get me started about liberals and their phony compassion. If they really, from the bottom of their ******** heart, actually cared about the poor and downthrotten, about the uninsured, about the homeless, about the disadvantaged, they would all get together and pass the hat around, to raise money to help them out of THEIR OWN POCKETS without ******* us to pay for all of that. Truth is they don't really care about them. What kind of a person would say "I want to be president to help the poor" does that mean that he won't do so if he's not president? There's a lot of people out there who do help the poor and have never sought political power.

So, libs, get together, including most of Hollywood, pass the hat around, and pay for all government programs that are supposedly "helping" the poor out of your own pockets and stop trying to send me to the poor house because you want to feel good about yourselves.

The easiest thing in the world is to be generous with other people's money.

I've got that link around here somewhere.... I thought it was here... I think its in the kitchen... did I leave it in the bathroom? Where...I...Oh, well. I'll get it later.

Cal, I have to agree. The political threads are getting down-right ******. But they are very left leaning.

I just thought I would even the playing field and post up some that were more to the right.

Fire with fire as the saying goes.

Besides. It never hurts to have the opposing view.

I appreciate people for their honesty and their ability not to beat around the bush when it comes to talk about politics.

Considering the Hollywood "libs" you just referenced are wealthy, and voted for Obama knowing he's planning to increase THEIR taxes, not yours, I think it's safe to say they've already committed to a method of passing the hat at their expense.

Are you suggesting that being president is not a good way to help the poor? Or just that he can't possibly want to help the poor because he's president?

Are you also suggesting that scial programs should only be funded by people who believe in them? Because I was under the impressions that that is the main reason for having an elected government, to decide what to spend taxpayers money on.

These anti-Obama rants are escalating in their stupidity. All these people wanted him to fail, but instead he's sticking to his agenda, stirring up activity, and doing what he said he would, and with nothing legitimate to bitch about they're just taking crazier and more flimsy lines of argument. Is a "true American" really someone who doesn't believe in helping other Americans?

Sounds strikingly similar to the last President....

War on ******, CNN/MSNBC - Let's report body counts, so we can FAIL
War on Iraq, Same issues
Economy (tax cuts), Bush's fault, let's all Boo that man, Booooo!

Guess what, who cares, all Presidents face this criticism... my :2 cents: quit ******, Bush supporters sucked it up, shouldn't the Obama camp (by the way only 50 days in guys... cry near the 3 year mark)?

Yeah well that type of bogus crap cuts both ways, Spyder. You get the same bullshit from all those arm-chair warriors on the right who support spending untold billions on the Iraqi war 100%....as long as they can do it from the comfort and safety of their own living rooms. If they REALLY supported the war, by your logic, they would enlist in the army and volunteer to go over there and fight for what they so fervently believe. Be careful throwing stones in that glass house over there....neither side of the political spectrum has a monopoly on hypocrisy.

I can respect that. and I'm glad that you could see the humor in my post. I may not always agree with you, or your links, but I know we have agreed before and you seem like a pretty level guy, not so much an extreme reactionary.

it's kind of funny that you should mention that, because I seem to recall that most of the members of this site say that they are not democrats or republicans and either fall in the middle of the spectrum or are critical of both parties... yet it seems like nearly all of the political threads are really slanted in bias towards one way or the other, and we aren't getting hardly any non-partisan critiques.

this thread was just meant to try and be tongue in cheek and break up the tension a little bit, because I've seen other members wishing that we had some funner and less somber posts coming. I try to be usually equal parts funny and thoughtful.

Please Pikachar, read my post again, and then spyder's, twice if you have to, and tell me again who's shedding tears?

I think liberalism has been stained and or probably hijacked by some demented far left group and gave it a bad rep. I am liberal on some stuff, just I like to see facts and be skeptic of things..liberals these days just don't want debate, it's their way or no other way.

Thanks Cal, I thought it was pretty funny!!!

As for those that claim non-Republican or Democrat status....

I think most are pretty fed up with their respective parties and like me do not want to be represented my mind-numbing, zombified, party line yes men.

BUT... that doesn't mean their ideals aren't left or right, or genuinly centered. So they voice an opinion that is not a party line, it is considerably more of an honest representation of their personal beliefs.

Although, I would TRULLY welcome a non partisan critique. A checks and balance. Because like politics itself, we have become more about bullying our political beliefs and belittling ones that are out of the box.

As for threads being more funny... well... Members step up to the plate!

If you want more funny threads, create them.

I agree with that DE. I think that things have been polarized into retarded stagnation.
