It's all about the money. Those places shell out serious cash for celebs to show up. The ***** gets written up in blogs and gossip columns and the club gets mentioned and it gets manufactured "buzz" as some kind of hotspot where the cool people show up.

And it's a quick and easy influx of cash for the ***** who's career isn't so hot at the moment. It's a major source of income for those phony "reality" show fringe "celebs" like Heidi Montag especially.
 
I remember thinking Michelle was HOT in Eurotrip. And now she is still the same. She's not lost it.
